In some cases, additional aeration of the aquarium can improve the water quality and the well-being of the aquarium inhabitants. In rare situations, a large plant mass and heavy stocking can even lead to an oxygen shortage overnight, because although plants produce oxygen during the day with sufficient lighting, they consume it again in the dark. Some fish species, but also shrimp and even microorganisms, benefit from oxygen-enriched water. Fish in particular reward a high oxygen content with splendid colors and vitality. The Q-1 and Q-2 air pumps as well as the A202 and A402 aeration pumps from Fluval enable the oxygen enrichment of aquariums with a capacity of up to 600 liters, while being discreet and highly efficient.
