Description
The Aquael Unifilter UV is an internal aquarium filter equipped with UV diodes, which additionally keep the outflowing aquarium water biologically pure. Bacteria, free-floating algae and protozoa are killed and the aquarium water remains crystal clear. If desired, this additive can be switched off independently of the filter performance. There is an infinitely variable power regulator at the top to adjust the power. With the adjustable aeration nozzle, the water can be additionally enriched with oxygen. The outflow can be angled up to 90°.
All Unifilter UV are equipped with a ceramic rotor shaft, which increases the longevity of the Unifilter and ensures quieter operation. The filter chamber is equipped with two separate filter sponges that can be cleaned alternately. This way, the filter performance is not impaired and important nitrifying bacteria are not lost. In addition, the Unifilter UV 1.000 has an extra filter chamber that can be individually equipped with a filter medium. Aquael offers the Unifilter UV in three different performance levels.

Note
Manufacturer recommends:
Assuming average conditions of use in the aquarium, UV diodes lose approx. 20% of their output after 10,000 hours of operation.
After this time, the user must decide for themselves, based on their own observations, whether such light radiation is sufficient to keep the tank clean
or whether the UNI-UV POWER module needs to be replaced with a new one.

I've been an aquarist for over 40 years now and have really only ever heard that such a small UV unit is a toy. But my experience here is clearly positive. My 45 P was cloudy. (read more)

Positiv überrascht - macht was er soll
Ich bin jetzt seit über 40 Jahren Aquarianer und kenne eigentlich immer nur die Aussage, dass eine so kleine UV Einheit Spielzeug ist. Aber meine Erfahrung ist hier deutlich positiv. Mein 45 P war trüb. Schwebealgen. Wasserwechsel, Feinfilterfließ, Algizit. Nix half so richtig. Vier Tage nach dem Einsatz des Aquael UV 500 war das Wasser super klar. Und der Filter ist auch noch superleise. Ok, in zwei Wochen kommt wieder der Standardfilter dran, da der Aquael für das 45 P doch etwas groß ist.

I bought 2 of these filters, one for a Dennerle Nano Tank 35l and one for the Nano Tank 55L Unfortunately, even after 3 months, cloudy water and thread algae keep coming back... (read more)

Ich habe mir 2 dieser Filter gekauft für ein Dennerle Nano Tank 35l und einmal für den Nano Tank55L
Leider auch nach 3 Monaten immer wieder trübes Wasser und Fadenalgen
Auch nach wöchentlichem großen Wasserwechsel 80-90% und Filter reinigen nach 3/4 Tagen wieder trübe und Algenbildung
Ich steige wieder auf einen normalen Filter um
