The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 02 makes a colorful yet easy-care layout possible that creates natural harmony in the aquarium. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green", Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Hydrocotyle leucocephala and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" – complemented by Aegagropila linnaei (moss balls). The harmonious combination of green, brown and red plants creates depth and vibrant contrasts in the aquarium. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" forms a dense, rich green carpet in the foreground and is ideal for open areas. This small dwarf sword plant grows compactly, forms runners and also tolerates low light. It is perfect for beginners looking for an uncomplicated carpeting plant.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" presents itself with dark green, slightly wavy leaves and slow, compact growth. It can be tied onto stones or roots and thrives even under low lighting. Its subtle sheen adds natural accents to the midground.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" is one of the most robust Cryptocorynes. Its brown, lanceolate leaves with wavy edges form dense clumps. It grows slowly and copes with little light.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' brings a bright contrast to the aquarium with its pink leaf veins. It grows quickly, promotes the biological balance through its strong growth and helps prevent algae. Regular trimming results in dense bushes.
Hydrocotyle leucocephala, the Brazilian pennywort, grows upright or floating at the surface. Its round, light green leaves form a fresh accent in the background. The plant is undemanding, fast-growing and can effectively absorb excess nutrients.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" turns an intense red even at medium light intensity. It grows upright, branches well and is an ideal contrast plant in the background. With its strong color it forms a bright focal point in the layout.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. It is easy to care for, long-lived and supports the biological balance. The result is a harmoniously planted aquarium that combines natural colors and shapes.
