The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 08 offers a harmonious selection of robust aquatic plants that are ideally suited for medium-sized aquariums. It includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green", Cryptocoryne beckettii, Cryptocoryne x willisii "lucens", Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma and Hydrocotyle leucocephala. The combination of epiphytes, rosette plants and stem plants ensures a balanced look and a stable plant structure in the aquarium.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is one of the smallest forms of the dwarf anubias and impresses with its tiny, dark green leaves. It grows very slowly and thrives without problems even in low light. This miniature plant is ideal for tying onto stones or roots and is perfect for the foreground of small and medium-sized aquariums.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is a compact-growing epiphyte with narrow, slightly glossy leaves that shimmer green to reddish depending on the lighting conditions. Its branching rhizome adheres well to roots or stones and forms dense cushions over time. The plant grows slowly, prefers medium lighting and constant conditions and looks particularly decorative in the midground.
Cryptocoryne beckettii originates from Sri Lanka and is one of the most robust members of its genus. Its medium green to brownish leaves form dense rosettes that grow well even in lower light. It is ideal for the midground and, with its muted colors, contributes to a natural, harmonious design.
Cryptocoryne x willisii "lucens" is a proven, easy-to-care-for Cryptocoryne with narrow, lanceolate, light green leaves. It grows slowly, forms dense clumps and is suitable for both the foreground and the midground. Thanks to its adaptability, it stays vigorous even under fluctuating conditions and creates a calm, balanced plant structure.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing stem plant from Southeast Asia with fine-leaved, light green foliage. It thrives under almost any conditions and is ideal for stabilizing new aquariums and binding excess nutrients. Under good lighting, it shows reddish shoot tips and forms dense groups in the background.
Hygrophila polysperma is one of the best-known and most robust aquarium plants. It grows rapidly, forms many side shoots and, with its light green to slightly brownish leaves, contributes to nutrient uptake and algae control. Thanks to its undemanding nature, it is particularly recommended for beginners and ensures lush plant growth.
Hydrocotyle leucocephala is a pennywort from South America with strikingly round, light green leaves. The plant grows in a vine-like manner and is ideal for loosening up the transitions between the foreground and midground. Its fast growth and adaptability give the aquarium a natural, lively character. The result is a harmoniously coordinated plant set that impresses with robust species and creates a lively, natural look.
