The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Shrimp - Green - No. 02 was put together especially for shrimp aquariums and creates a harmonious, natural-looking underwater scene. The set includes Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green", Hemianthus glomeratus, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Hydrocotyle leucocephala, Rotala rotundifolia, Taxiphyllum barbieri "Java moss" and Aegagropila linnaei. The graduated selection of foreground, midground and background plants creates a balanced sense of depth that gives the aquarium structure and visual calm. The moss balls complete the set as living decoration and contribute to the biological balance.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is a small, very compact epiphyte with dark green, firmly textured leaves. It grows slowly and prefers low lighting. It is ideal for attaching to roots and stones.
Hemianthus glomeratus forms dense cushions with its fine, light green leaves that bring lightness and freshness to the aquarium. Under medium lighting, it develops its full vitality and sets delicate accents between coarser plant species. Its active nutrient uptake has a stabilizing effect on the biological balance.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is characterized by its light green leaves with pink veins, which appear more intensely colored depending on the light intensity. This very fast-growing species is extremely adaptable and excellent at absorbing nutrients. It should be trimmed regularly to form dense bushes and promote growth.
Hydrocotyle leucocephala, the Brazilian pennywort, is a fast-growing plant with characteristically round leaves on long, thin stalks. It can be cultivated both rooted and free-floating and is particularly well suited as an accent in the midground. Due to its strong growth, it helps prevent algae and creates a natural appearance.
Rotala rotundifolia is a long-proven and very adaptable stem plant. It grows quickly and shows attractive reddish hues under good lighting, but stays fresh green under medium light. Placed in the background, it forms dense groups that bring structure and color to the aquarium.
Taxiphyllum barbieri "Java moss", known as Java moss, is a slow-growing moss. It is easy to attach to stones, roots or decorations and grows into dense, dark green cushions even under low lighting. With its natural, loose growth form, it gives aquascapes a soft, true-to-nature feel.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a harmoniously planted shrimp aquarium with lively colors and a healthy plant structure.
