The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 01 is designed for a harmonious, colorful planted layout in large tanks. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Bucephalandra sp. "Theia", Cryptocoryne x willisii "nevillii", Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma, Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" and Aegagropila linnaei. The carefully coordinated selection combines green and red accents for the foreground, midground and background. The moss balls complete the set as living decoration.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a fast-growing, light green rosette plant from Central and South America. It forms dense lawns of narrow, linear-lanceolate leaves and spreads across the substrate via long chains of runners. Medium lighting and a balanced nutrient supply promote bright growth in the foreground.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia" originates from the island of Borneo and grows as an epiphyte on roots and stones. Underwater, its leaves shimmer in reddish-brown to purple tones, often with a bluish sheen. Its compact growth and robust nature make it an ideal midground plant for calm layouts.
Cryptocoryne x willisii "nevillii" is an easy-to-care-for, slow-growing rosette plant from Sri Lanka. It forms dense groups via underground runners and tolerates a wide range of water parameters. With its medium green leaves, it brings calm and structure to the midground of larger aquariums.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is one of the best-known and most adaptable water trumpets. Its rich green, wavy leaves form dense clumps and stay vigorous even in lower light. This species is ideally suited for midground areas with a natural character.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fine-leaved, light green stem plant from Asia. It grows quickly and forms bushy groups that stay particularly compact with regular trimming. Thanks to its modest requirements and fast growth, it effectively stabilizes new tanks and competes with algae.
Hygrophila polysperma is one of the most undemanding aquarium plants of all and thrives under almost any conditions. Its light green to slightly brownish leaves grow rapidly and absorb excess nutrients. Frequent trimming keeps the shoots densely branched and vigorous, making it ideally suited for the background.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is characterized by its intense red coloration and delicate leaves. It grows upright and, with regular trimming, branches into compact groups. With its strong color, it sets eye-catching accents and provides contrast to the green plant species.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a colorful yet easy-to-care-for layout for large aquariums.
