The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Colorful - Medium - No. 05 was put together to create a harmonious, natural layout in medium-sized aquariums. The set includes Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, Hydrocotyle tripartita, Pogostemon helferi, Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini', Microsorum pteropus, Limnophila sessiliflora and Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red". The combination of green and reddish species creates a lively yet harmonious overall picture that brings depth and structure to the aquarium.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in the aquarium hobby. The selected plants need medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2–3 × per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis is often referred to as "New Zealand grass" and originates from South America. Under strong lighting, it forms a dense, light green carpet of narrow leaves that makes the foreground look lively. This robust species is ideal as a carpeting plant and can also be cultivated in slightly brackish water.
Hydrocotyle tripartita is a dainty, creeping pennywort species from Australia. Its clover-like, green leaves form dense cushions that grow particularly compactly under strong lighting and with CO2 supplementation. Its lively leaf structure and fresh green bring dynamism and a natural feel to the foreground area.
Pogostemon helferi, also known as "Daonoi", originates from the streams and rivers of northern Thailand. The plant is characterized by its crinkled leaf margin, compact growth and bright light green color. It is a special eye-catcher in the midground and thrives best with a stable CO2 supply and good lighting.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is an easy-to-care-for variety of the popular water trumpet species. It forms medium-sized, green leaves that adapt well to different lighting conditions. This plant grows reliably and brings calm and structure to the midground.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' impresses with its compact, upright growth and its light to reddish-green leaves. With sufficient lighting and CO2 supplementation, it develops intense hues and contrasts beautifully with green plants. It is perfect as an accent in the midground and gives the layout depth of color.
Microsorum pteropus, the classic Java fern, is one of the best-known epiphytes. Its strong, dark green leaves grow slowly and can be attached to stones or roots. With its calm, natural growth, it gives the aquarium a structured, balanced look and creates a soothing sense of depth.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing, fine-leaved stem plant from Southeast Asia. It forms dense, light green stands and, through its growth, ensures a good oxygen supply in the aquarium. Thanks to its uncomplicated character, it is ideal as a background plant and stabilizes the biological balance.
Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" is an intensely red, fast-growing stem plant that visually enhances the layout. Under strong light and with CO2 supplementation, it shows particularly bright red tones and forms compact bushes with regular trimming. This plant sets an impressive color accent in the background and rounds off the overall picture. The result is a balanced, colorful plant set that harmoniously combines structure, dynamism and a natural feel.
