The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Green - Medium - No. 02 is a balanced plant selection for larger aquariums. The set includes Pogostemon helferi, Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3"), Hygrophila pinnatifida, Hydrocotyle tripartita, Microsorum pteropus, Hydrocotyle leucocephala, Hygrophila corymbosa and Bucephalandra sp. "Theia". The combination of carpeting plants, stem plants and epiphytes creates varied planting with different growth forms and leaf structures.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in the aquarium hobby. The selected plants need medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3x/week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Pogostemon helferi is a compact-growing stem plant from Thailand with strongly crinkled, light green leaves. It forms low rosettes and is ideally suited for the foreground to midground. With sufficient lighting, it grows densely and decoratively.
Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") is a highly recommended carpeting plant with creeping growth. Under good conditions, its roundish, fresh green leaves form a closed plant carpet. The plant is particularly suitable for the foreground of larger aquariums.
Hygrophila pinnatifida is an exceptional aquarium plant with deeply pinnate leaves and a decorative brownish-green coloration. It grows creeping or upright and can be cultivated both in the substrate and on hardscape. It sets striking accents especially in the midground to background.
Hydrocotyle tripartita is a fast-growing pennywort with finely lobed, fresh green leaves. The plant grows creeping and is easy to shape with regular trimming. It is suitable for the foreground and midground and creates lively structures.
Microsorum pteropus is a classic Java fern with strong, elongated leaves. As an epiphyte, it is preferably attached to roots or stones and grows slowly but very reliably. It is particularly easy to care for and ideal for shadier areas.
Hydrocotyle leucocephala is a fast-growing pennywort from tropical America. Its roundish, light green leaves sit on long shoots and give the aquarium a loose structure. The plant is particularly suitable for the background of larger tanks.
Hygrophila corymbosa is a robust, tall-growing stem plant with broad, rich green leaves. It grows quickly and contributes to the biological stability of the aquarium. Due to its size, it is ideally suited for the background.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia" is a slow-growing epiphyte with dark, slightly shimmering leaves. It is attached to stones or roots and over time forms compact, multi-headed groups. It shows its decorative effect especially in shadier areas.
