The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Low Maintenance - Green - No. 01 was put together for balanced, easy-to-care-for planting of larger aquariums. The set includes Lobelia cardinalis, Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Bucephalandra sp. "Theia", Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea', Microsorum pteropus and Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae. The combination of different leaf shapes, colors and growth heights creates a harmonious overall picture and supports a stable biological balance in the aquarium.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Lobelia cardinalis has round, light green to slightly reddish leaves that sit densely on short stems. It grows compactly and forms strong bushes that bring fresh color to the midground. With sufficient light, it forms a low, even carpet that brings structure and clarity to the layout.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is characterized by its very small, dark green, glossy leaves, which are ovate to roundish in shape. It stays extremely compact and grows creeping on roots or stones. This miniature Anubias is ideal for the foreground and for fine hardscape details.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" shows narrow, wavy leaves in a warm brown to olive tone. The leaves form dense rosettes that give the aquarium a natural, earthy look. It grows slowly, stays compact and is particularly suitable for the midground or as a transition between lighter plants.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" has smooth, lanceolate leaves in a rich medium green. It grows bushy and stays relatively low, making it well suited for the midground. Thanks to its robustness and adaptability, it thrives reliably even in dimly lit tanks.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia" is an epiphyte with dark green, glossy leaves that are slightly wavy and elliptical in shape. Depending on the light, the undersides can shimmer slightly reddish, adding extra depth to the layout. Thanks to its slow growth and elegant leaf structure, it is ideal for accents on roots and stones.
Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' impresses with round, bright golden yellow leaves growing on fine stems. It forms loose, upright shoots and sets warm color accents between green plant species. Under stronger light, its growth stays compact, while under lower lighting it grows taller and softer.
Microsorum pteropus, known as Java fern, has elongated, deep green leaves with slightly wavy edges that grow from a strong rhizome. The plant attaches itself to roots or stones and grows upright to slightly arching. It is easy to care for and ideally suited for beginners.
Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae forms long, narrow leaves with strongly wavy edges that reach elegantly upward. Its fresh green gives the background depth. It grows moderately fast and shows off particularly well in taller tanks, where it acts as a calm contrast.
