The Aquarium Plant Set 30 Litre Colourful Medium No. 06 has been specially developed for colourful aquascapes in smaller aquariums. The combination of red stem plants, compact foreground plants and robust epiphytic plants creates strong colour contrasts and a varied structure in the aquarium. The set includes Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini', Ludwigia palustris "Super Red", Hemianthus glomeratus, Eleocharis sp. 'Mini', Staurogyne repens and Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'). Thanks to the combination of different growth forms, this set is ideal for modern layouts with dense planting and clear contrasts.
This set is intended for aquarists who already have some experience. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' is a compact red stem plant with intensely coloured leaves and dense growth. It is ideal for the midground and develops strong red and purple tones under good conditions. Regular trimming encourages bushy growth and compact cushions.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" develops bright red shoot tips and creates striking colour accents in the aquarium. The plant grows upright and is ideal for the background of small aquariums. Under good lighting and with CO2 supplementation, the intense red colouration becomes noticeably stronger.
Hemianthus glomeratus has fine, light green leaves and quickly grows into dense groups. Its delicate structure brings lightness and naturalness to the layout. Regular trimming allows the plant to be kept compact and shaped precisely.
Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' is a particularly low-growing grass species for the foreground. Over time, it forms a dense lawn-like carpet and is ideal for natural aquascapes. Good lighting and a stable CO2 supply promote fast and even carpet growth.
Staurogyne repens is a robust foreground plant with strong green leaves and compact growth. It grows slowly to moderately and forms dense bushes with regular trimming. The plant is excellent for transitions between foreground and midground.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a very small epiphytic plant with dark green, firm leaves. It is ideal for attaching to roots or stones and requires very little care. Thanks to its slow growth, it remains compact for a long time and is perfect for detailed nano aquascapes. The result is an intensely colourful, high-contrast planted aquarium with varied structures and a natural sense of depth.
