Description

The Aquarium Plant Set - 30 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 09 was specially developed for small aquariums to create a harmonious, natural underwater landscape with robust and easy-care species. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Schismatoglottis prietoi, Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt", Cryptocoryne × willisii "nevillii", Hemianthus glomeratus and Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea'. The carefully matched plant selection creates a calm, harmonious appearance and underlines the natural look of the aquarium.

This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO₂, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.

Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a low-growing dwarf sword plant from Central and South America. It forms light green, lanceolate leaves and, through numerous runners, quickly grows into a dense lawn-like carpet. The species is robust, easy to care for and ideal as a carpeting plant for the foreground.

Schismatoglottis prietoi is a small aroid with compact growth and bright green, elliptical leaves. It thrives best in medium light in a nutrient-rich substrate and forms dense stands over time. With its compact size and evenly shaped leaves it fits ideally into the midground of small tanks.

Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt" stays low and dense, bringing structure to the midground. It grows evenly, is easy to shape by trimming and also copes with medium light conditions. The rich green leaves create a lush, calm area of color in the layout.

Cryptocoryne × willisii "nevillii" is a proven, undemanding rosette plant with narrow, olive green leaves. It grows slowly to moderately and forms compact clumps that are easy to group. Medium lighting and a regular but moderate nutrient supply are sufficient for healthy growth in the midground.

Hemianthus glomeratus is a graceful, light green stem plant with fine foliage. It branches heavily, grows quickly and forms dense groups. With its fine leaves it creates a light, airy effect in the background area.

Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' is a bright yellow-green moneywort variety with rounded leaves. It grows creeping to upright, forms numerous side shoots and thus creates striking color contrasts in the midground to background. The species is uncomplicated and brings bright, cheerful highlights to the planted scape. The result is an easy-care, harmoniously matched plant set that gives small aquariums structure and a natural, balanced look.
