Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 06 was put together to create a harmonious, colorful planted aquarium. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai', Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red". The combination of robust green and red species provides lively contrasts and a natural structure from the foreground to the background.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' is one of the smallest known varieties of the dwarf anubias and remains very compact even under optimal conditions. Its ovate, dark green leaves and its robustness make it an ideal plant for the foreground as well as for decorating roots or stones. It grows very slowly, needs hardly any care and manages with little light and without CO2 supplementation.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" is a richly colored variety of the popular water trumpet species and develops lanceolate leaves with wavy edges in a warm brown tone underwater. It grows compactly, is perfect for the midground and adapts to a wide variety of water conditions. Thanks to its strong leaf color, it provides a natural contrast to green plant species.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is particularly easy to care for and forms dense stands of green, medium-sized leaves. It grows slowly, but is extremely robust and ideal for the midground of small to medium-sized aquariums. The plant stays vigorous even in low light and contributes to the natural structure of the layout.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing, fine-leaved stem plant from tropical Asia that sets fresh accents with its light green shoots. It grows reliably even in harder water and tolerates pH values up to 8. Under good lighting, it shows slightly reddish shoot tips and creates a dense, soft plant backdrop in the background.
Hygrophila polysperma is one of the most adaptable aquarium plants of all and grows vigorously under almost any conditions. It absorbs excess nutrients, thus improving water quality and preventing algae growth. Its light green, lanceolate leaves and fast growth make it an ideal choice for beginners and for initial planting.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is a small-leaved, intensely red stem plant that shows its full color even under medium lighting. It branches well, grows compactly and forms bright red contrasts to green plant species. With regular fertilization and medium light, it develops dense, bushy growth and sets striking color accents in the midground to background. The result is a harmonious planted aquarium with well-balanced colors.
