Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Low Maintenance - No. 02 combines carefully selected species that together create a stable, balanced planted scape with minimal care requirements. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai', Bucephalandra sp. "Biblis", Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Bacopa monnieri 'Compact', Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Microsorum pteropus 'Narrow' as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The balanced mix ensures lush growth with little maintenance effort. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' is an extremely compact selection of the dwarf Anubias with particularly small, ovate leaves about 18 mm long and 10 mm wide. The plant is undemanding, robust and grows reliably on roots or stones, thriving even without added CO2. It is ideal for nano aquariums and small hardscape elements in the foreground.
Bucephalandra sp. "Biblis" is a decorative, small to medium-sized Bucephalandra form from the island of Borneo. Its dark purple to red-brown leaves with crinkled edges show attractive, silvery-green dots under medium light. It grows slowly, prefers constant conditions and is ideally suited for tying onto stones or roots in the midground.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" is a proven, undemanding aquarium plant with brown, lanceolate leaves that are slightly wavy. It grows slowly, tolerates various water parameters and needs no added CO2. This robust Cryptocoryne is perfect for the midground and brings warm shades of brown to the layout.
Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' is a compact form of the well-known water hyssop and forms dense, light green bushes with regular trimming. It grows even without CO2 and copes well with medium light, while strong lighting leads to particularly compact growth. The plant is robust and versatile for the foreground and midground.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is an easy-care stem plant with strikingly light to pink leaf veins. It grows rapidly, tolerates hard water and develops particularly intense colors under strong lighting. Its fast, bushy growth makes it ideal for the background and creates vibrant contrasts.
Microsorum pteropus 'Narrow' is a narrow-leaved variety of the popular Java fern with light green leaves up to 30 cm long. The plant grows slowly, prefers medium light and needs no added CO2. It is ideal for tying onto roots or stones and is particularly well suited for the midground to background areas of small aquariums.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium and is readily grazed by shrimp. The result is an easy-care, harmoniously planted aquarium with a natural look.
