If it's a WRGB light, why can't the W channel be selected and adjusted separately? I think the light is great, I just noticed it when I wanted to turn the intensity down.

The name dates back to the first generation of the lamp, in which separate white, red, green and blue LEDs were installed. The second generation uses 3-in-1 LEDs to create a uniform light image. When all three channels are set to the same intensity, the light is white.

Hello, I'm surprised by the lumen figures. Slim-60 6,200, Slim-90 5,500. Can that be? E.g. at de.chihiros.euchihiros-wrgb-ii-slim I see something completely different. Slim-30 color temperature 1,000 K? Best regards Viktor

The corresponding lumen and color temperature figures match the product data sheets, which can also be viewed on the product page.

Hello. Your description of the lumen output lists different values than the manufacturer's description. Which values are the right ones now, or am I missing something?

The lumen figures in the product description match the information in the product data sheets. These figures are based on laboratory measurements under standardized conditions. Different values can occur in practical use. In its manuals, Chihiros deliberately states values that can be achieved in normal operation. That's why the two figures can differ from each other.

Does the Chihiros WRGB II Slim have an EU plug? That one would be compatible with Swiss (CH) sockets, but the DE plug would not, right?

The Chihiros lights we offer are exclusively the DE version. They come with the appropriate power supply and the matching Euro plug (type C).

My tank is 150 cm long, 50 cm wide and 60 cm high. Which of these lights would I need, and how many?

For a lengthwise installation, the Chihiros LED System Series WRGB II Slim 120 is too short. Several Chihiros LED System Series WRGB II Slim 45 could be placed across the tank. With 4 of these lights, approx. 25 lm/l are reached. An alternative would be the Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB 1500 (https://www.aquasabi.de/Chihiros-LED-System-Universal-WRGB-1500). Here, you would reach approx. 33 lm/l with two lights.

Are the lamp and the power supply the German variant with the additional stickers on the lamp and the power supply?

The power supplies of the lamps are the Germany Edition, and a corresponding sticker is attached as well.

Are your lumen figures in the description correct?

The lumen figures in the product description match the information in the product data sheets. These figures are based on laboratory measurements under standardized conditions. Different values can occur in practical use. In its manuals, Chihiros deliberately states values that can be achieved in normal operation. That's why the two figures can differ from each other.

Hello, I wanted to ask whether the lumen figures are correct. They differ from those from Chihiros, both for the Slim and for the regular WRGB II. Thanks and regards, Dominik

The lumen figure is correct; it can also be found in the most recent product data sheets.

I have a 60 l Cube from Dennerle. Would the glass cover on top still work with this lamp?

On a Dennerle Nano Cube, the lamp can also be used above the glass cover.

The description of the 90 cm version states 5,500 lumens. In older descriptions I find 3,600 lumens. Was the lamp revised, or which figure is correct?

The lumen figure of over 5,500 lumens is correct; it can also be found in the most recent product data sheets.

Description

The WRGB II Slim by Chihiros is an LED system series, which serves the complete colour range of aquatic plants with its optimised design of RGB LEDs and lets the colours in the aquarium shine especially vividly. Compared to the classic WRGB II model, this lamp is only 15 mm thick and blends discreetly into any aquarium design without drawing attention away from the layout. The series is also remarkable for its particular stability. At a relatively low power consumption, this model illuminates the complete tank with excellent light distribution angles and suites aquarium sizes from 30 to 140 cm length.

The light-system is programmed via the "My Chihiros App" directly and does not need an additional commander. The app offers individual control over the three colour channels "R" (red), "G" (green) and "B" (blue), as well as individually programmable daily phases. Sunrise and sunset can be imitated, too. Additionally, Chihiros has installed various presets that can highlight certain types of plants with special colour settings. These presets can also be adjusted individually with the app, so that the best possible illumination can be achieved for each aquarium. There is no need for an external timer because all schedules can be saved as desired.

The rope suspension for the WRGB II can't be used with the WRGB II Slim. There is a separate rope suspension for the WRGB II Slim: https://www.aquasabi.de/Chihiros-Seil-Aufhaengung-Set-Serie-WRGB-II-Slim

We're coming from the A series, which sits nicely flat above the tank. The WRGB II Slim sits too high above the tank for us. A suspension doesn't work for us. Are there perhaps acrylic mounts for this lamp as well?

Both the A series and the other Chihiros lights should be operated at the distance specified by the mounts. Otherwise, water can get into the housing and cause irreparable damage.
