Description
Also known as Echinodorus latifolius. Medium-sized chain sword, not demanding. It develops runners with many plantlets and is suitable as a lawn in the foreground of larger tanks or as group in the midground of smaller tanks. The submerged leaves are linear, light green, about 1 cm wide and ca. 10-30 cm long.
This plant has been known under the name Echinodorus latifolius for many years. It belongs to the group of Helanthium bolivianum (= Echinodorus bolivianus). It is often found in trade under other names, like "Echinodorus magdalenensis", however, those names might also refer to other varieties of Helanthium bolivianum.
As a submersed plant, Helanthium bolivianum "latifolius" is hard to discern from other plants from the group of H. bolivianum. Its leaf rosettes have an overall stiffer apperance than those of e.g. H. bolivianum "quadricostatus" (Echinodorus quadricostatus).
Its emersed form has narrowly lanceolate leaf blades with an acute tip (see picture 3), very much like emersed plants of Helanthium tenellum and H. bolivianum "angustifolius".
The petals of its flowers are slanting downwards (see fig. 92).

Sehr zufrieden
Pflanzen entsprechen der Angebotsbeschreibung, sehr gut verpackt, haben den Transport trotz kühler Witterung sehr gut überstanden. Sendung sehr schnell geliefert (etwas länger als 24h, Express). Kann die Firma mit ihrem Angebot und dem Service weiterempfehlen.
The plant looks great and would have been enough for 3 pots. The portion was huge!!! The flowering stems were unfortunately bent over, they'll surely dissolve in a few days. (read more)

Pflanze sieht super aus und hätte für 3 Töpfe gereicht. Portion war riesig!!!
Die blühenden Stängel waren leider abgeknickt lösen sich bestimmt in ein paar Tagen auf.
Dennoch zufrieden.
Ein bisschen liebevoller verpacken und alles wäre noch perfekter :-)
A somewhat larger form of Helanthium, the medium one in size of all the variants. There are also other forms that are smaller and larger.

Sehr schöne größere Form von Helanthium
Etwas größere Form von Helanthium von allen Varianten die mittlere von der Größe her. Es gibt auch andere Formen die kleiner und größer sind.
