Description
The JDAquatec Midi Reactor with a fixed bypass enables highly efficient dissolution of CO2 directly within the filter circuit. Thanks to the integrated bypass with ball valve, the filter’s performance remains unaffected, even at high flow rates. The reactor is ideal for aquariums up to 500 litres and provides a CO2 dissolution capacity of up to 1,500 bubbles per minute. With its sturdy mounting bracket and functional design, the system can be securely and flexibly integrated into existing filter installations.
The reactor is discreetly installed outside the aquarium in the line between the filter and the return hose. It is first secured using the sturdy mounting clamp, while the additional bracket provides even greater stability and safety. As the system operates without a diffusion membrane, the water flowing through it is enriched directly with CO2 and distributed evenly throughout the entire aquarium via the filter circuit. This enormous dissolution efficiency is achieved by a specially generated water vortex inside the reactor. This vortex keeps the injected CO2 in the upper section of the reactor until it is completely dissolved in the water. Unlike many other systems, the reactor operates without trickle media or other internal components that could become clogged over time. As a result, the system operates extremely reliably and is completely maintenance-free.
To control the CO2-concentration in the aquarium, a drop checker is recommended. Furthermore, the upstream CO2-system should be protected from backflowing water with an appropriate check valve.
The CO2-reactor can also be used for saltwater aquariums. However, it is recommended to use it only in nitrogen and phosphate limited marine tanks and to perform a consistent pH-control.

Eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung
Der Reaktor von JD Aquatec, der seit drei Jahren bei mir an einem Aquarium der Größe 100 x 50 x 50 cm im Einsatz ist, hat sich als sehr zuverlässig erwiesen. Ich verwende ihn zusammen mit dem Kugelblasenzähler von JDAquatec.
In dieser Zeit habe ich den Reaktor zweimal mit Chlorbleiche gereinigt.
Das CO₂ wird vollständig gelöst, es sind absolut keine Blasen bzw. Bläschen zu sehen, auch nicht sporadisch.
Der Reaktor ist bei mir wie folgt in den Kreislauf eingebaut:
Das Wasser kommt gereinigt aus dem Filter, läuft zuerst in einen UV-C-Klärer, dann weiter zum Reaktor und schließlich zum Durchlauferhitzer, bevor es in das Aquarium zurückfließt.
