Description
The WIO Biotope Decor Kit Ibon is a complete aquascaping package that contains all the components needed for an authentic, natural design. It is inspired by the high-altitude lakes of the Pyrenees, the so-called ibons, and enhances aquarium design by imitating rivers and streams in which slate and scree are transformed by the water into smooth, cool pebbles.
The decor kit contains a ready-to-use mix of materials for designing a landscape aquarium. One kit is enough for a layout of up to 60 cm, two for a 90 cm and three for a 120 cm setup. It is easy and fun to use. Aquascaping fans can use it to create a realistic lake biotope.
The Ibon Kit aims to create a landscape with an authentic natural feel. It contains light sand mixed with small dark, smooth stones that create a strong contrast. It also includes various sizes of WIO Decor Black Venom Boulders, whose dark, solid shapes give the layout a strong character. When wet, all the stones in this set glitter and shine beautifully and become darker, creating a strong contrast to the green plants and an atmospheric ambience. Of course, the WIO Decor Wetland Artist Dark substrate, which is ideal for lush plant growth, is also included.

Choking hazard
Warnings:
- Mineral dust may cause mechanical irritation to eyes or skin. Avoid contact and rinse with water if necessary.
- Inhaling dust may irritate the respiratory tract. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Risk of splinters from wooden parts. Work carefully when handling.
- Stones, riverbed material or wood can cause significant changes in water chemistry.
- Florabed releases nutrients. Monitor water parameters regularly.
- Risk of slipping on spilled material. Remove immediately.
General information:
- Rinse mineral components thoroughly before use.
- Cure wood before use in the aquarium by boiling it for 30–60 minutes or soaking it for 24–72 hours with daily water changes.
- Add components gradually. Check water parameters such as pH, KH, GH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and phosphate regularly, especially during the first weeks.
Handling instructions:
- Plan the layout in advance, especially paths and terraces.
- Rinse stones thoroughly with water; do not use soap.
- Cure wood according to the instructions until it sinks.
- Place Florabed in the planting zones; typical layer height 3–6 cm.
- Place stones on the Florabed first and secure them if necessary.
- Spread riverbed material in channels and along the edges.
- Fill the tank slowly over a plate or a plastic sheet to avoid stirring up the substrate. Initial cloudiness is normal and disappears through filtration.
- Carry out regular partial water changes during the first 2–3 weeks. Monitor water parameters.
- Vacuum carefully during maintenance. Do not disturb the river channels. Remove biofilm as desired.

Some people aren't so good at designing or putting materials together. With the Decor Kit it's almost too easy.

Einfach tolle Idee
Manche haben es nicht so mit gestalten oder dem zusammenstellen von Material. Mit dem Decor-Kit ist es fast schon zu einfach.
At first I really liked the set, but in the long-term test I was completely disappointed, the planting substrate is extremely sharp-edged and there was no plant growth either. (read more)

Anfangs war ich begeistert
Am Anfang gefiel mir das Set sehr gut, aber im Langzeittest waf ich komplett enttäuscht, das pflanzsubstrat ist extrem scharfkantig und das pflanzenwachstum war auch nicht vorhanden. Die Farben auf den Bildern wirken auch etwas anders, als im befüllten Aquarium. Ich kann es leider nicht empfehlen
