The Japanese manufacturer Aqua Design Amano regularly shares useful knowledge and product information on how to set up or maintain Nature Aquariums or aqua-terrariums. In this edition, we show a simple layout in the DOOA System Aqua 30 in combination with the SOL Stand G. A friendly, spring-like aquascape to enjoy!
DOOA complete aquarium: SYSTEM AQUA 30

The DOOA complete aquarium has a built-in filter system. In combination with the SOL Stand G, you can present a great open aquarium. A Wabi-Kusa Hanger could also be used here, for example. The SOL Stand G was designed specifically for use with the System Aqua 30. The mounting piece for the SOL Stand G, which gives the stand a secure hold, is available separately.
Outer dimensions: L30 x D30 x H30 (cm)
Aquarium size (excluding the filter chamber): L30 x D20 x H30 (cm)
Lighting for the DOOA complete aquarium: SOL STAND G

This LED lighting system was designed specifically for small aquariums such as the DOOA System Aqua 30, Terra 30 and the tanks of the Neo Glass Air series. The lamp can not only be adjusted continuously in height, you can also swivel it around the stand. This makes maintenance work such as plant trimming and water changes significantly easier.
Power consumption: 18 W / Maximum luminous flux: 1,500 lm
Complete aquarium that is easy to put into operation
Even though some may think that it is easy to run such a small aquarium, in terms of equipment it does not differ significantly from an aquarium with an edge length of 60 cm or more: you need a filter, light and CO2. If you use an external filter or a hang-on filter, it needs space outside the tank. Not only the filter itself, but also the necessary filter hoses and piping are unsightly and considerably impair the visual effect of an aquascape. With the DOOA System Aqua 30, a 30 x 20 x 30 cm aquarium is combined with a filter chamber.
The whole tank measures 30 x 30 x 30 cm. In this compact system, you can design a beautiful plant layout, but you could also keep shrimp in it. The filter chamber contains a filter sponge and a pump. With the System Aqua 30, the filter volume is significantly higher than with most filters common for nano aquariums, and it is easy to put into operation. This tank always looks tidy and clean, since you do not see any hoses at all. At the upper left corner, the water is drawn into the filter through slits. The outlet for the filtered water is located in the upper right corner. The System Aqua 30 does not include a lighting system in the set, but together with the SOL Stand G the aquarium becomes a well-rounded whole.
DOOA SOL Stand G
With high light output even for sun-loving plants. Most growth disorders in plants, not only in nano aquariums but in planted tanks in general, are due to insufficient light intensity. Many lighting systems for nano aquariums deliver too weak a light; they may light up the aquarium reasonably well, but the plants underneath cannot grow healthily. Aquarium plants also photosynthesize underwater, and for this they need energy in the form of sufficiently strong light. The SOL Stand G was developed specifically for the care of aquarium plants. It incorporates all the experience and technology ADA gained in manufacturing other LED lighting systems for aquariums such as the Solar RGB and the AQUASKY G series. The most outstanding quality of the SOL Stand G is the light quality, which makes the green tones of the plants look remarkably vivid - much more beautiful than under other commercially available aquarium lighting.
The SOL Stand G unfolds its full potential in combination with the System Aqua 30. In the plant layout shown here, we used Wabi-Kusa Stem Plant MIX and Riccia. Stem plants and Riccia need a lot of light for healthy growth. Their beautiful appearance in this tank shows us that they receive enough light thanks to this lighting.

The DOOA System Aqua 30 & the SOL Stand G - for a fresh aquascape with stem plants and Riccia.
If you use the System Aqua 30 together with the SOL Stand G, you can create layouts with beautiful stem plants, Riccia and other sun-loving plants. They grow lushly in this tank, and their green leaves practically glow under the SOL Stand G lamp, which was developed specifically for planted aquariums.
