Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 01 contains a carefully selected combination of six easy-care aquatic plants plus Aegagropila linnaei. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Bucephalandra sp. "Kedagang", Staurogyne repens, Limnophila sessiliflora, Microsorum pteropus and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration and also bring natural structure to the substrate. This set provides fresh green, strong color contrasts and a harmonious overall impression in the aquarium.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly small-growing variety with very compact growth and firm, dark green leaves. It grows slowly and should be tied onto roots or stones, as the rhizome must not be planted in the substrate. Thanks to its robustness and decorative appearance it is ideal for hardscape details in the midground.
Bucephalandra sp. "Kedagang" is characterized by its dark green to brownish shimmering leaves and compact growth. It thrives even in low lighting and grows tied onto wood or stone. Under medium to strong light it shows intense color reflections, making it an attractive eye-catcher in the midground.
Staurogyne repens is a compact, light green stem plant that is ideally suited as a dense foreground or midground carpet. Its bushy growth is easy to shape with regular trimming. It benefits from medium light and a stable supply of CO2 and nutrients.
Limnophila sessiliflora impresses with its finely feathered, light green shoots and very fast growth. It is ideal as a background plant and creates a lively overall look. Under good lighting the shoot tips show slightly reddish tones, creating interesting contrasts.
Microsorum pteropus, the classic Java fern, is extremely robust and easy to care for. It grows on both stones and wood and must not be buried in the substrate. With its dark green foliage it creates a calm, natural backdrop in the background.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" brings strong color accents to the aquarium with its intensely red stems and small leaves. It grows quickly, branches well and should be trimmed regularly to form dense groups. Medium lighting is enough to maintain its bright red coloration.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a harmoniously matched plant set.
