Description

The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 09 offers a harmonious mix of easy-to-care-for, colorful species for a balanced layout. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt", Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Tropica', Schismatoglottis prietoi, Microsorum pteropus, Bacopa caroliniana and Ludwigia "Rubin". This combination brings together robust, easy-to-keep plants with appealing color contrasts from light green to deep red and is ideal for beginner aquascapes.

This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO₂, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.

Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly small variety with very compact growth and firm, dark green leaves. It grows slowly and should be tied onto roots or stones, as the rhizome must not be planted in the substrate. Thanks to its robustness and decorative appearance, it is ideal for hardscape details in the midground.

Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt" forms low, dense bushes and is ideally suited for the foreground. It grows compactly in medium light and is easy to propagate from cuttings. Its light green shoots provide fresh color contrasts.

Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Tropica' shows brown, hammered leaves and grows into dense rosettes. It prefers low to medium light and thrives very well even without CO₂ supplementation. A classic and hardy plant for the midground.

Schismatoglottis prietoi is a small species from the Philippines. Its light green, elliptical leaves are reminiscent of small Anubias forms. It grows reliably in the foreground to midground and forms a dense stand over time.

Microsorum pteropus, the classic Java fern, is one of the best-known aquarium plants of all. It is attached to wood or stones and needs only little light. Its strong, leathery leaves form an attractive contrast to fine-leaved species.

Bacopa caroliniana is an upright stem plant with fleshy, light green leaves that turn slightly reddish under strong lighting. It grows slowly, is very easy to care for and gives structure to the background.

Ludwigia "Rubin" provides bright color accents with its wine-red leaves. It is robust, grows even under medium lighting and forms dense shoots when well supplied with nutrients.
