The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 10 is put together for 120-liter aquariums and combines robust species with varied colors for a harmonious design. It includes Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini', Anubias barteri var. nana, Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Echinodorus 'Rainers Kitty', Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Microsorum pteropus and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red". The selection sensibly covers the foreground, midground and background and allows for a quick start with reliably growing plants.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' is a compact dwarf form of the well-known cardinal flower with small, roundish leaves. It is ideal for the foreground and can be planted as a dense stand or as a decorative row of plants. With good care, it grows slowly, stays low and can also be cultivated in nano aquariums or emersed.
Anubias barteri var. nana is a very robust epiphyte from West Africa that sets accents in the midground. Its firm, dark green leaves and slow growth make it ideal for shaded areas. It is best attached to wood or stones and its rhizome should not be buried, as it could otherwise rot.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is a proven, green variety of the popular water trumpet species from Sri Lanka. It forms strong rosettes and adapts flexibly to different light and nutrient conditions. With its fresh green leaves, it creates a calm, natural appearance in the midground.
Echinodorus 'Rainers Kitty' is a small, decorative sword plant with elliptical leaves. Its reddish, spotted submersed leaves make it a focal point in the midground. Under good lighting and in a nutrient-rich substrate, it shows particularly intense colors and grows into a compact solitary plant.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is a fast-growing stem plant with light to pink leaf veins. In the background, its colored markings and vigorous growth create lively contrasts. Regular trimming promotes a bushy structure.
Microsorum pteropus, also known as Java fern, is a classic epiphyte with large, rich green leaves. It grows slowly and manages with little light, making it perfect for the background. Attached to wood or stones, it offers aquarium inhabitants natural hiding places and structure.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is a richly colored stem plant that turns a strong red even under medium lighting. It forms dense shoots and creates strong color contrasts to green species in the background. With regular trimming, a compact, bushy stand can be built up that gives the aquarium depth and dynamism. The result is a harmonious-looking, easy-to-care-for planted aquarium that impresses with its variety of colors and structure.
