Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Low Maintenance - No. 01 was developed especially for beginners and fans of easy-to-care-for aquariums. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Acorus gramineus ‘Pusillus’, Bucephalandra sp. “Theia Green”, Microsorum pteropus, Lobelia cardinalis and Lysimachia nummularia as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The moss balls complete the set as living decoration and add natural accents to the layout. The overall look is harmonious, green and calming – ideal for a healthy, easy-to-care-for underwater landscape.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly small variety with very compact growth and firm, dark green leaves. It grows slowly and should be tied onto roots or stones, as the rhizome must not be planted in the substrate. Thanks to its robustness and decorative appearance, it is ideal for hardscape details in the midground.
Acorus gramineus ‘Pusillus’ is a decorative dwarf sweet flag that can be tied onto wood or stone particularly well. It prefers cool temperatures and medium lighting and is ideally suited for natural layouts with a river character.
Bucephalandra sp. “Theia Green” shows variable leaf colors from dark green to reddish – a charming epiphyte for the midground. It grows very slowly and prefers stable conditions with an even nutrient supply.
Microsorum pteropus, the classic Java fern, is extremely robust and ideal for the background. It grows even without CO2 and its broad leaves offer shelter for fish and shrimp.
Lobelia cardinalis brings a fresh touch to the layout with its light green, roundish leaves. It grows compactly and evenly and can also be planted in groups to form dense stands.
Lysimachia nummularia, the well-known moneywort, is versatile and creates fresh green accents. It grows upright and is suitable for moderately heated, well-lit tanks.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium and contributes to biological stability. The result is a balanced, easy-to-care-for planted aquarium that is ideal for beginners.
