This Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 02 was put together to make a well-balanced planted layout with easy-to-care-for species possible. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Bucephalandra sp. 'Theia', Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt", Staurogyne repens, Hygrophila corymbosa, Limnophila sessiliflora and Ludwigia palustris 'Super Red' as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The moss balls complete the set as living decoration and contribute to the stability of the biological balance. The set is particularly suitable for natural aquariums with strong color accents and a harmonious overall picture.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a small variety of the dwarf anubias with elliptical, dark green leaves about 1 cm long. It grows very slowly, prefers low light conditions and is extremely robust. This plant is perfect for tying onto roots and stones in the foreground, especially in nano aquariums.
Bucephalandra sp. 'Theia' is a compact epiphyte with obovate leaves and reddish-purple coloration. It thrives under medium lighting and benefits from a constant supply of CO2 and nutrients. Its rhizome grows in a creeping manner, creating dense cushions in the midground over time.
Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt" is an extremely compact-growing stem plant with short internodes and small, ovate leaves. It reaches a height of about 6–10 cm and is easy to shape by trimming. In medium light, it develops dense foreground growth and is also suitable for smaller aquariums.
Staurogyne repens originates from Brazil and forms a light green, creeping carpet. It grows horizontally across the substrate and can be shaped well with regular trimming. This plant prefers medium lighting and is ideal for structured aquascapes in the foreground.
Hygrophila corymbosa is a large-leaved, fast-growing background plant from Southeast Asia. It thrives in soft to hard water and prefers a nutrient-rich substrate. Its robust, broadly oval leaves and vigorous growth make it an ideal choice for tall aquariums and beginners.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fine-leaved, light green stem plant from Asia that shows slightly reddish shoot tips in medium light. It grows very quickly, is undemanding and improves water quality through nutrient uptake. Especially in the background, it creates soft, flowing structures.
Ludwigia palustris 'Super Red' shows intense red coloration even under medium lighting. It forms slender, branched stems with small elliptical leaves and grows briskly with regular fertilization. This plant sets color accents in the midground and background and provides lively contrasts.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a well-balanced planted aquarium with a lively structure and natural color accents.
