The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Colorful - Medium - No. 02 offers a balanced selection of attractive aquatic plants for varied aquarium layouts. It includes Pogostemon deccanensis ("erectus"), Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3"), Echinodorus 'Rainers Kitty', Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Hygrophila corymbosa, Ludwigia palustris "Super Red", Pogostemon helferi and Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'). The combination of foreground, midground and background plants creates harmonious transitions and lively contrasts in color and structure.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in the aquarium hobby. The selected plants need medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3x/week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") is a very attractive, low-growing carpeting plant with creeping growth. It forms dense, fresh green carpets and is ideally suited for the foreground. With good lighting and CO2 supply, it grows compactly and evenly.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is an extremely small, slow-growing epiphyte with very firm, dark green leaves. It is extremely robust and also copes well with little light. Thanks to its small size, it allows very detailed designs, even in larger aquariums.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" is a proven, easy-to-care-for rosette plant with decorative brown, slightly wavy leaves. It adapts well to different water conditions and grows reliably. In the midground, it provides natural transitions and calm color contrasts.
Pogostemon helferi, also known by the name "Daonoi", is a striking plant with strongly crinkled, light green leaves. It grows compactly in dense rosettes and stands out clearly from classic plant forms. It sets striking structural accents, especially in the midground.
Echinodorus 'Rainers Kitty' is a small, highly recommended sword plant with an attractive leaf shape. It is suitable both for the midground and as a solitary plant. Even in smaller aquariums, it shows harmonious and healthy growth.
Hygrophila corymbosa is a vigorously growing stem plant with broad, decorative leaves. It is ideal for the background and, thanks to its fast growth, contributes to nutrient uptake. Under good conditions, it can also grow above water and produce flowers.
Pogostemon deccanensis ("erectus") is characterized by its upright growth and densely arranged, needle-like leaves. It gives the background a clear, structured look. Under high light intensity, it develops particularly compact and characteristic growth.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is a small-leaved stem plant that turns an intense red under good lighting. It forms an effective color contrast to green plants. Used in the background, it creates strong visual accents in the aquascape.
