Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 30 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 07 combines six carefully selected species that create a harmonious color scheme ranging from rich green to strong red. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai', Schismatoglottis prietoi, Cryptocoryne x willisii "lucens", Staurogyne repens, Hemianthus glomeratus and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red". The selection is particularly well suited for nano aquariums up to 30 liters and provides lively contrasts and natural structure in the tank.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' is also known as "Mini Mini" and is one of the smallest varieties of the dwarf anubias. Its roundish oval leaves stay very compact at about 1 to 2 cm in length, making it ideal for nano aquariums and delicate hardscape structures. It is robust, undemanding and slow-growing, and grows reliably even under low lighting.
Schismatoglottis prietoi is a fairly new aroid from the Philippines that forms dense, creeping stands in the foreground and midground. Its small, elliptical leaves are glossy light green and resemble Anubias 'Petite', but are slightly smaller and lighter in color. It grows well in loose substrate, prefers moderate lighting and forms dense groups.
Cryptocoryne x willisii "lucens" is a robust rosette plant with narrow, lanceolate leaves in fresh green. It forms dense, low bushes and is ideally suited for the midground of small to medium-sized tanks.
Staurogyne repens originates from Brazil and impresses with its compact, light green growth. It can be used both as a low bush and as a carpeting plant and responds well to trimming, which creates a dense carpet. With a good CO2 supply and strong lighting, it grows particularly vigorously.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a fine, delicate stem plant from Florida with small, curved, light green leaves. Planted in groups, it forms attractive, bushy shapes that make an ideal contrast to broader leaves. Under strong lighting, it grows compactly and can partly cover the foreground with creeping growth.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is a small-leaved, intensely red variety of the well-known marsh seedbox. It grows quickly, branches well and creates strong color accents in the midground and background. Even in medium light, it shows strong red coloration and provides lively contrasts in the aquarium.
