The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Shrimp - Colorful - Easy - No. 02 was designed for the natural aquascaping of shrimp aquariums. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green", Staurogyne repens, Hygrophila polysperma, Ludwigia "Rubin", Taxiphyllum barbieri "Java moss" as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The plants are easy to care for, fast-growing and create a balanced, natural planted scape. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a lawn-forming dwarf sword plant from Central and South America. It develops light green, narrow leaves and quickly forms dense carpets in the foreground via runners. With medium lighting and a good nutrient supply it grows vigorously and is ideal for beginners.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" originates from the island of Borneo and grows as a compact epiphyte with changing green and bronze tones. It clings to roots or stones and forms dense groups through its branched rhizome. With medium light and a stable CO2 supply it shows its most beautiful colors and is long-lived.
Staurogyne repens is a sturdy, light green plant from Brazil that is ideally suited for the midground to foreground. It forms compact cushions and is easy to shape with regular trimming. Under medium lighting and balanced fertilization it grows particularly evenly and healthily.
Hygrophila polysperma is an undemanding, very fast-growing stem plant from Asia. It thrives under almost all conditions, helps break down nutrients and thus contributes to a stable tank environment. With regular trimming it stays compact and vigorous – ideal for beginners and newly set-up aquariums.
Ludwigia "Rubin" is a richly colored stem plant with bright red leaves. Under good lighting it develops sturdy shoots and forms a high-contrast background. Its intense coloration brings depth to the layout and creates visual highlights.
Taxiphyllum barbieri, known as "Java moss", grows quickly, clings to roots or stones and is ideally suited for greening the hardscape. The moss gives the aquarium a natural character.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a well-balanced planted aquarium with vigorously growing, harmoniously matched plants and a natural appearance.
