I bought one two years ago and now it flickers when dimming up, but not anymore afterwards. What can be done? I've already reinstalled and set up the app several times.

Flickering of lamps is usually caused by a defective power supply or a defective controller.

Hello everyone, I'm planning a 150x50x60 cm, 450 l freshwater aquarium. Is the LED-System Universal WRGB 1500 lamp enough at a tank height of 60 for light-intensive plants, e.g. MonteCarlo, and red plants?

Lighting always depends heavily on the design and the overall planting of the tank. A Chihiros Universal WRGB 1500 reaches approx. 16 lumens/liter at these tank dimensions, so we recommend working with at least two LEDs. Then the 1500 version can also be sufficient for Micranthemum sp. "Monte Carlo".

Which Chihiros, and how many, do I need for a 720 l tank, 200x60x60? Community tank with undemanding plants and CO2 fertilization

Lighting always depends heavily on the design and planting of the tank. With four Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 1000, approx. 23.59 lumens/liter are reached at these tank dimensions, which can be sufficient for very simple, undemanding plants. However, the height of the tank is also decisive, since light intensity decreases in the water column.

Hello. Is the 1000 lamp compatible with an Aquatlantis Splendid 100?

Unfortunately, the Chihiros Universal WRGB is not compatible with Aquatlantis aquariums.

The WRGB - 800 only has 2,789 lm. Isn't that at the absolute lower end if you assume 20-40 lm/l for a standard tank? For the Rio125 it would only be 22 lm/l.

Customers ask customers (or the support team) Answer: The distinguishing feature of this lamp is that it can also be operated under a cover, since it has protection class IP67. One lamp probably isn't enough for demanding plants in this aquarium, but thanks to the variable mounting options, two Universal WRGBs, for example, can be mounted over the tank. The lighting solution you need always depends on the layout and the plants used. This can mean that several lamps have to be used when there is a higher light requirement.

Is there a shade that is compatible with the Universal?

Since the lamp is intended for use under a cover, there are no matching shades for it.

Why 2 weeks delivery time if 2 are in stock?

Products over 120 cm in length are shipped as bulky freight. Delivery times can be longer in this case.

My angelfish tank is 190 cm long and 70 cm high with a 65 cm water level. Would a 1500 be enough for this length without having poorly lit areas at the sides? In other words, is the lateral beam angle enough for my tank length? As I said, an angelfish tank without light-demanding plants.

The lamp has a beam angle of approx. 120°. Whether this is sufficient for a tank always depends on the setup of the aquarium and the plants used.

Hello, is a separate Bluetooth controller needed for the lamp?

The Bluetooth controller is already included in the scope of delivery and does not need to be purchased separately.

I have an aquarium cover from Juwel, 120x50 cm, with 2 Multilux light bars and 3 flap covers in between. Would the flap cover still fit if I replace the original Juwel Multilux light bars with one or two Chihiros LED System Universal WRGB?

The Multilux light bars can be swapped for the Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB without any problem, since they have the same dimensions. So the covers can still be used.

Are there mirrors that fit the Universal WRGB? There are some for the WRGB II. Regards, Moritz

There are currently no shades for these lamps, since they are designed for use under a cover. It is also not compatible with other Chihiros shades.

What is the minimum distance from the water surface to the lamp? Open tank

The lamp is IP67-certified and suitable for aquariums, so there is no required minimum distance from the water surface. It can also be operated very close above the water without any problem. We just recommend leaving a few centimeters of space so that splash water can drip off more easily.

Will a 150x50x60 cm tank be lit well with the 1500 lamp?

A Chihiros Universal WRGB 1500 only reaches 16.35 lm/l at these tank dimensions. In this case we recommend using two lamps. That is then sufficient for most plants.

Hello, what diameter do the stainless steel legs have??

The stainless steel bracket has a diameter of 2.8 mm.

Hey everyone, with the Juwel 450, do I have to change the flap set or does it fit as is? I'd order right away! Best regards A.Maul

The flap set does not need to be replaced, since the Chihiros Universal WRGB replaces the existing original lighting.

I have a Juwel Primo 70. If I buy the Chihiros, can I still put the lid on?

Unfortunately, the various mounting options of the Universal WRGB are not compatible with the cover of the Juwel Primo 70.

How can you clean limescale off the lamp?

Answer: The housing of the lamp can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth when it is switched off.

How many of these lamps do I need for a 150x40x40 tank if I want somewhat demanding plants? Are 2x the 1500 variant enough here?

With two Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 1500, you are already in the high-light range and can also keep demanding plants.

Hello, does the WRGB 920 fit a Fluval Siena 270?

The Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 920 is compatible with the Fluval Siena 270.

How far can the lamp mounts be extended? Does it fit a 140 cm tank, Oase Highline 400?

For a tank length of 140 cm, two Chihiros Universal WRGB - 700 should be used.

Hello, I'd like to equip my Juwel Rio 350 with the Chihiros WRGB Universal, since it can be integrated into the cover. Is that possible without any problems? Do I need adapters for it? How many lamps and which ones do you recommend for the Rio 350? Many thanks and regards Andreas B.

The Chihiros Universal 1200 is suitable for the Juwel Rio 350, and no adapter is needed. Two of the lamps together reach approx. 33.8 lm/l and are therefore suitable for plants with medium light requirements.

Either a 1200 or 2x the 700 lamp would fit in my Oase Highline 400. Both variants would then have 60 RGBs, but the 1200 has only 30 white LEDs while the two 700s would have 40 white LEDs. The 1200 has 6,251 lumens though, and the two 700s together only 5,226 lumens. Can that be right?

Due to the higher power consumption of the Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 1200 of 91 watts, it also has a higher luminous flux than the Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 700 with 33 watts each.

Is one WRGB 800 enough for the Oase Highline 200? Dimensions are 900x500 mm and 490 mm high. Regards Michael M.

The Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 800 is compatible with the Oase Highline 200. With one lamp you reach approx. 12.65 lumens/liter, so we would recommend using two lamps.

Hello everyone, I received my 1500 Chihiros Universal WRGB today. The lighting on my 450 l Juwel Vision is completely sufficient, great colors, great light! But one question: the power adapter and the controller get very, very warm during operation!? Is that normal??? Thanks in advance for

Warming of the power supply, controller and lamp is normal, especially when it is used at 100% power.

Hello, does the lamp fit a closed Juwel Rio 125 liter, and do adapters need to be ordered for the covers? Thanks in advance for your reply

The Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 800 is suitable for the Juwel Rio 125. The mounting accessories are designed for installation in a Juwel Rio 125.

Is this lighting waterproof, and can it be built into a cover?

The Universal WRGB is waterproof to IP67, so it can also be used under an aquarium cover.

Hello, with a 180 cm aquarium with a cover like on a Juwel, which lamps would fit on it? So that it sits like on a Juwel aquarium? Best regards R.U.

Unfortunately, the Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB are only suitable for a maximum length of up to 155 cm. So you would need to check whether the lamps could also be installed crosswise to the length on your tank. Alternatively, you could combine 2 Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 920 thanks to the plug connection. However, two identical lamps should always be connected to each other, as otherwise color/brightness deviations can occur.

How does the lamp behave after a power outage? Do the settings from the app stay saved? With my

The settings also remain saved after a power outage.

How many lamps of what size do I need for my 2 m x 70 cm x 70 cm aquarium? Do I need a controller for these lamps?

With 6 Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 1000, you theoretically reach approx. 26 lm/l. The controller is already integrated into every lamp and can be operated via the My Chihiros app.

Is it possible to program different switching times with the app, e.g. Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 12:30 and 15:00 - 21:00, Saturday from 8:30 - 21:00 and Sunday from 8:00 - 21:00?

Individual time-of-day programming is only possible with certain Chihiros models. These include the WRGB II, WRGB II Pro and the Universal WRGB.

Hello, can weather events also be simulated, as it says in the description? I can't find an option for it in the app. Thank you very much

Unfortunately, simulating weather events is not possible with this lamp.

I have an Eheim Proxima 250. Currently there are two Power LEDs in it. Is one Chihiros WRGB 1000 enough here, or should I also install two LED strips?

For this tank we would still recommend two lamps. If only very easy plants are kept, one lamp can be enough.

Is this lamp sufficient for a Lido200 with its extreme depth? Will ground cover plants get enough light to grow there?

For example, the Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 700 is compatible with the Juwel Lido 200, but it only reaches 11 lm/l. That is not enough for many ground cover plants.

What could I be doing wrong that my MyChihiros app doesn't find the lamp?

The app may not be getting all the permissions it needs, e.g. location access. If problems persist, feel free to contact us directly and send an email to info@aquasabi.de.

Hello, for an 80 cm tank, Juwel Rio 125, is the 600 or the 700 length better?

With an edge length of 81 cm, the Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB - 800 is compatible. The choice of LED depends heavily on the design and planting of the tank, though. At these tank dimensions the lighting only reaches 19.13 lm/l.

Do you need an additional power supply like with Eheim?

A power supply is included in the scope of delivery of the Chihiros LED-System Universal WRGB.

Hello, I run a freshwater tank, 300x70x65 lxwxh, in Dutch style, lit with AquaLEDs with a cover on top. The light bars are heavy and unwieldy and get in the way of my weekly gardening work. How many Chihiros do you recommend for optimal illumina

Lighting always depends heavily on the design and planting of the tank. With 6 lamps, approx. 32 lumens/liter are reached at these tank dimensions, which is sufficient for most plants. However, the height of the tank is also decisive, since light intensity decreases in the water column.

Thanks to the 4 possible mounting options, the lights can be flexibly adapted to numerous different aquarium types.

Anbringung_Universal

Various options for installing a Chihiros LED System Universal WRGB

Several lights can also be connected using the supplied mounting rods to supply aquariums up to 280 cm in length.

Zusammensteckbare_Universal_WRGB

The WRGB lamps offer a complete spectrum for optimum plant growth and intensive colour rendering of the aquarium inhabitants. With a power range of 28 to 100 watts and a lighting intensity of up to 7.358 lumens, even demanding aquascapes can be supplied with sufficient light energy. The colour temperature can be varied between 3.000 and 15.000 Kelvin using the app control.

The Universal WRGB has protection class IP67, which consists of two specific protection features: The first characteristic value, a "6", indicates that the device is completely sealed against the ingress of dust. The second rating, a "7", indicates that the device is protected against the effects of temporary immersion in water to a depth of one metre for a period of up to 30 minutes. These protective features also make the devices ideal for use under aquarium covers.

Wireless control via the MyChihiros app makes the light smart. Sunrises, sunsets and breaks can be simulated based on a schedule. Presets and colour profiles can also be called up.
