Fluval - Food
Very few aquarium inhabitants are short of water. But what about a balanced diet?
In the wild, there are three different feeding types. Carnivores (meat eaters) hunt and eat only insects, insect larvae, shrimp, crayfish, snails and also other fish. Herbivores (plant eaters) feed mainly on plant-based food such as algae, leaves or fungi. Omnivores such as guppies eat both: plants as well as meat.
Fluval's fish food, Bug Bites, is modeled on the natural diet of fish in the wild and, depending on the variety, contains different nutrient profiles for tropical fish, bottom feeders, cichlids, bettas or goldfish. The main protein source of Bug Bites is the larvae of the black soldier fly, which gave the product its name.
