Description

CO₂ Drop Checkers are used for long-term monitoring of the CO₂ levels in the aquarium. A CO₂ reagent is filled into those CO₂ Drop Checkers and will change the color according to the amount of dissolved CO₂ in the aquarium water. Green will indicate a proper CO₂ value, yellow will indicate to much CO₂ and blue will show not enough CO₂.

The indicator solution turns green at approx. 20-25 mg/l of CO₂.

The blue color of the indicator liquid shows that the CO₂ concentration is currently still too low. A CO₂ drop checker also reacts with a delay (several hours), so please always make adjustments slowly. The rule of thumb for the amount of CO2 is: For every 10 liters of aquarium volume, allow 10 bpm (= bubbles per minute). With a volume of 180 liters, the bubble count should be set to 180 bpm. However, this should only be regarded as a guideline. Ist gut ablesbar obwohl da so wenig Flüssigkeit reinpasst. Das Aufmachen ist schwierig. Ich benutze dafür ein feuchtes Handtuch an der spitzen Seite, dann gehts einfacher auf.

Das beste vorweg: Man kann ihn zum reinigen einfach aufschrauben.

Durch den weißen Kegel kann man sogar an der Oberfläche der Messflüssigkeit erkennen, wenn die Farbe z.B. nach einem Wasserwechsel umschlägt. Meinen Glasindikator dagegen muss ich vor dem Thermometer anbringen, damit ich überhaupt grob die Gesamtfarbe erkennen kann ...

Einfach Klasse!

Da ich es leid war immer Rätselraten beim Ablesen der CO2 Glaswaren zu spielen, habe ich mir nun diesen CO2 Dauertest von ISTA geholt.

Bin total begeistert! Albesen ist nun ein absolutes Kinderspiel! Man kann von allen Seiten ablesen, weil die innere weiße Fläche wirklich rundherum geht. Der Test ist vor ner STunde ins Becken gekommen und ich kann jetzt sehen, wie sich die Dauertestflüssigkeit von oben nach unten geginnt grün zu Färben. TOP!

Als Dauertestflüssigkeit nutze ich allerdings die von Aqua Rebell.

Schön wäre natürlich gewesen, wenn der Dauertest unten schwarz gewesen wäre, auch der Saugnapf.

Aber optimale Funtion geht bei mir vor Optik.

Ich habe für mich jedenfalls nun den perfekten CO2 Langzeittester gefunden.

Und danke an Aquasabi, für die, wie gewohnt, sehr schnelle Lieferung!
