Description
Silicate (silicic acid, SiO2) promotes unattractive diatom algae in the aquarium. Mains water often contains levels of silicates which create problems with diatom algae. JBL SilikatEx is a filter material that permanently absorbs silicate, preventing the growth of diatom algae. It also absorbs phosphate. Suited for freshwater and seawater.

I've tested several products for silicate removal. My tap water has a very high silicate level, practically no longer measurable. (read more)

Spitzenprodukt
Ich habe einige Mittel für die Silikat-Entfernung getestet. Mein Trinkwasser hat einen sehr hohen, eigentlich nicht mehr messbaren Silikatwert. Silikatex von JBL schafft den Wert fast auf Null zu senken, sodaß dieser nicht mehr das Aquarium belastet. Durch den Einsatz gehen die Rotalgen fast komplett aus meinem Becken raus. Es ist bei mir jetzt schon einige Monate im Dauereinsatz
Does what it's supposed to do. You should rinse it well beforehand, then there's little water cloudiness. After that I had peace for a year.

Filtert Silikat aus dem Wasser
Macht was es soll, vorher sollte man es gut auswaschen dann hat man wenig Wassertrübung. Ich hatte dann 1 Jahr Ruhe.
