Is the pump of the OASE BioMaster² Thermo 850 a 230 V asynchronous motor, and generally suitable for external power control via phase-angle control, e.g. Osaga ODR-300?

The BioMaster2 filters have synchronous motors installed, which cannot be dimmed. An external power controller is therefore not compatible.

I need a suitable shrimp guard for the intake. Can you recommend something?

Unfortunately there is no suitable filter guard for the included inlet. A sponge solution would have to be used here if necessary.

Do the Bio Master filter and its thermo unit have an EU plug? That would be compatible with Swiss (CH) outlets, but the DE plug would not be?

The flow rate can be adjusted at the filter head. To do this, the lever on the connection unit has to be moved toward 'Unlock'.

For a Juwel Rio 240 liter heavily planted aquascape, is the Oase 600 enough? After all, the Juwel also has the internal filter, which keeps running too.

The internal filter of the Juwel Rio 240 delivers a pump output of 600 l/h. If this current is not enough, an additional pump can be used. An additional filter would also increase the filter volume and can remove a lot of nutrients from the aquarium.
