Für Daytime Matrix nicht zu gebrauchen
Nachdem ich nun fast 1.000,- Euro für meine Daytime Ausstattung ausgegeben hatte (Schiene, 5x Module, Netzteil, Halterung und SC16) sollte es noch die Glare Protection 80 sein. Mein Becken hat eine Höhe von 50cm und ich hatte die LEDs immer im Blickfeld. Also brauchte ich einen Blendschutz.
Nach dem Auspacken liegt mir die Glare Protection, eine Bedienungsanleitung und eine Siliconschnur vor. Die Bedienunganleitung gibt Aufschluss darüber, was es mit der Siliconschnur auf sich hat. Dieser Blendschutz wurde nämlich mal ursprünglich für die älteren Cluster Modelle entworfen. Da schraubt man eine Seite an der Schiene auf und schiebt die Glare Protection seitlich in die dafür vorgesehene Aussparung. Bei der Matrix Schiene ist diese Aussparung viel zu groß und auch anders geformt. Heißt die Glare Protection hat überhaupt keinen Halt und fällt sofort wieder raus.
Jetzt soll also der Kunde diese Siliconschnur mit Hilfe einer Plastikkarte (ec-Karte) in den Zwischenraum stopfen, damit die Glare Protection hält. Leute für diese Aktion hab ich eine Stunde gebraucht. Die Schnur lässt sich nie komplett über die ganze Länge eindrücken und lugt immer mal wieder irgendwo hervor. Auch nach vollständiger Verlegung ist der Halt der Glare Protection nur sehr wackelig. Heißt, beim leichtesten Gegendruck, springt die Blende mitsamt Siliconschnur wieder heraus. Ist also jetzt schon vorprogrammiert, dass bei der nächsten Reinigung das Dingen wieder eingebaut werden muss. Fraglich wie lange die Siliconschnur bei den Temperaturschwankungen an der Matrix noch flexibel bleibt und zu gebrauchen ist.
Fazit: Mit dem Equipment von Daytime war ich bislang sehr zufrieden. Diese Glare Protecion für die Matrix anzubieten ist aber schlichtweg eine Unverschämtheit der WALTRON GmbH. Da versucht man offensichtlich einen Ladenhüter der Cluster Reihe für teures Geld an Matrix Kunden zu verhökern.
Ich habe die Glare Protection trotzdem behalten und gebe zwei Sterne, weil die Blende wertig verarbeitet ist und tut was sie soll. Die einzige Alternative wäre eine zurecht geschnittene Pappe mit Tesafilm als Sichtschutz anzubringen. Für eine Aquarienbeleuchtung in dieser Preisklasse unmöglich.
