Description
This attractive stem plant was originally named Ludwigia sp. 'Atlantis'. Probably it belongs to Ludwigia palustris x repens. In its emersed form it shows a striking colour pattern with light yellow venation. The submerged leaves develop a beautiful yellow orange to dark orange coloration, depending on the light intensity.
As well as other stem plants, this colourful novelty should be planted with a larger number of stems to achieve a good effect. This Ludwigia is not demanding, however strong lighting and sufficient CO2 supply are guarantors for a good growth. The growth rate is moderate.
This Ludwigia with conspicuously light yellow leaf veins was selected by Tomas Kaliebe at the former Atlantis nursery in Altlandsberg-Wegendorf and named as a cultivar. Recently it has also been appearing in the trade under the name Ludwigia sp. 'Dark Orange'. The plant possibly belongs to the hybrid Ludwigia palustris × repens.
In the emersed form, Ludwigia sp. 'Atlantis' has a particularly high-contrast leaf pattern. Leaves developed under water take on beautiful yellow-orange to dark orange tones, while the light yellow colouring of the leaf veins is no longer as pronounced.

Sehr schön
Die Pflanze wurde am Wochenende eingepflanzt und beginnt jetzt schon, an der Spitze leuchtend orange zu werden. Bin schon gespannt, wie sie in ein paar Wochen aussieht.
