Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Algae Control - Green - No. 03 is ideal for aquariums of around 120 liters and combines functional benefits with a harmonious, natural aesthetic. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Hemianthus glomeratus, Echinodorus "Tricolor", Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila corymbosa, Hygrophila polysperma "Rosanervig" and Hydrocotyle leucocephala. The combination of fast-growing species with different leaf shapes and shades of green creates a lively, fresh overall picture that gives the aquarium depth, structure and a natural, calm atmosphere.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a low-growing dwarf sword plant from Central and South America. It forms light green, lanceolate leaves and, through numerous runners, quickly grows together into a dense lawn-like carpet. The species is robust, easy to care for and ideal as a carpeting plant for the foreground.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a delicate stem plant from Florida that stands out with its small, light green leaves. Depending on the light intensity, it grows bushy or creeping and is particularly well suited for the midground to foreground. Under good lighting, it forms dense groups and adds lightness to the planting.
Echinodorus "Tricolor" shows an interesting variety of colors with light green to yellowish leaves, some of which have brownish spots. This compact sword plant is easy to care for and grows best in medium light and a nutrient-rich substrate. It looks particularly decorative as a solitary plant in the midground.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing, fine-leaved stem plant from Southeast Asia. It tolerates a wide variety of water parameters and grows briskly even under moderate lighting. With its light green, soft foliage, it forms a beautiful contrast to broad-leaved species.
Hygrophila corymbosa is a large-leaved, very adaptable stem plant from Southeast Asia. It grows both underwater and above water and develops strong, rich green leaves. Its fast growth makes it ideal for larger tanks, where it serves as a structuring background plant.
Hygrophila polysperma "Rosanervig" is an attractive variety with striking white to pink leaf veins. It grows rapidly, is extremely robust and is perfect for beginners. Under strong lighting, its coloration intensifies, making it a beautiful focal point in the midground.
Hydrocotyle leucocephala, also called Brazilian pennywort, is a fast-growing plant with round, light green leaves on delicate tendrils. It grows both upright and floating and, thanks to its dense structure, offers hiding places for small fish. The species is undemanding and brings liveliness to the tank with its light color. The result is a harmonious, easy-to-care-for plant set that impresses with different growth forms and shades and is designed for stable aquarium conditions with little algae.
