Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 02 is designed for a harmonious, predominantly green design with uncomplicated species. The set includes Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini', Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Anubias barteri 'Compact', Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae, Rotala rotundifolia and Limnophila sessiliflora as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration and at the same time provide additional surface area for microorganisms to colonize.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' is a dwarf form of the well-known cardinal flower with smaller, rounded leaves that forms dense groups for the foreground to midground. It is easy to cultivate and also suitable for nano aquariums; grown emersed, it can produce bright red flower spikes. Thanks to its compact growth form it sets fresh, light green accents in calm layouts.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is an undemanding, proven rosette plant in green to slightly brownish tones. It forms dense stands over time and fits perfectly into the midground. The species is tolerant of different water parameters and forgives care mistakes.
Anubias barteri 'Compact' stays medium-sized with rounded to slightly heart-shaped, dark green leaves. As a robust epiphyte it thrives on wood and stones and needs only moderate light. Its slow growth makes it easy to care for and a structuring element in the midground.
Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae is a narrow-leaved, robust species with long, strap-shaped, often textured leaves. It copes well with harder water and forms dense, tall stands for the background via runners. It needs only moderate lighting, and a nutrient supply via the substrate promotes growth.
Rotala rotundifolia is a relatively undemanding stem plant that shows light green to reddish tones depending on the light. It forms dense groups and is suitable for the midground to background, even in smaller tanks. This adaptable species is ideal for natural, dynamic layouts.
Limnophila sessiliflora is one of the fast-growing, finely feathered classics for the background. It has only low demands, thrives in soft to hard water and is particularly recommended for initial planting. Under good lighting the shoot tips show slightly reddish tones and form a beautiful contrast to broad-leaved species.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a harmoniously planted aquarium that impresses with vigorous growth and a natural look.
