The Aquarium Plant Set - 30 Liters - Shrimp - Green - Easy - No. 02 consists of five potted plants and moss balls that were put together specifically for small shrimp aquariums. The set includes Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt", Cryptocoryne × willisii "lucens", Hemianthus glomeratus, Bacopa monnieri 'Compact', Taxiphyllum barbieri „Javamoos“ as well as Aegagropila linnaei. This combination of midground- and background-oriented plants offers varied structures and provides retreats for the animals. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt" has an extremely compact growth form with short internodes and a height of only 6 to 10 cm. It is ideally suited for the midground and is easy to shape with regular trimming. The species is easy to care for and also thrives under moderate lighting.
Cryptocoryne × willisii "lucens" is a robust, medium-sized rosette plant with narrow, medium green leaves. It forms dense stands and is ideal for the midground. Like all Cryptocorynes, it adapts to different light conditions and also copes well with low CO2 levels.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a delicate stem plant with small, light green leaves and upright growth. It looks particularly natural in the background and loosens up the layout. Regular trimming promotes bushy growth and a dense structure.
Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' is characterized by compact, branched shoots and is suitable for the middle to rear area of the tank. The plant grows slowly and forms dense cushions that give the aquarium structure. Under good lighting it shows rich green leaves.
Taxiphyllum barbieri „Javamoos“ is a classic aquarium moss that can be tied onto roots or stones. It forms dense, soft shoots and offers shrimp safe hiding places as well as grazing areas. The moss thrives even in low light and without a CO2 supply.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a natural, easy-care layout that offers ideal conditions for shrimp.
