Description

Utricularia graminifolia is a grass-like bladderwort species from the Asian tropics that grows into a lush bright light green lawn. It is thus quite popular in aquascaping, too. It is not always easy to cultivate, but under favourable conditions (lots of light, soft water, CO2, macro- and micronutrient fertilisation) it is a fast grower.

Hello, I'm very interested in when to flood the dry start for this plant. And whether the plant melts during the switch from emersed to submersed.

Support
Before flooding the aquarium, you usually let the plants grow in in the finished layout for two to four weeks. For Utricularia graminifolia, however, we recommend placing it only in already cycled aquariums and not in new substrate, as the plant is not easy to cultivate.

Under suitable conditions it forms a nice dense carpet. I kept it in a 20x20x30 Dooa Cube with aqua soil from Tropica.

The plants were super vital. Because of transport they had clumped together into a ball shape, but you have to rinse off the gel anyway.
