The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 03 was put together especially to create colorful and easy-to-care-for planting for large aquariums. The set includes Ludwigia "Rubin", Bacopa monnieri 'Compact', Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Anubias barteri var. nana, Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Hydrocotyle leucocephala, Hygrophila polysperma and Aegagropila linnaei. The balanced combination of foreground, midground and background plants provides depth and structure in the aquarium. The moss balls complete the set as living decoration.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Ludwigia "Rubin" is an attractive stem plant that develops intense red leaves under good lighting. It grows quickly, forms bushy shoots and is ideal as a focal point in the background. Regular trimming promotes compact growth and ensures strong, healthy new shoots.
Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' is a compact form of the well-known water hyssop with densely arranged, roundish leaves. It grows at a moderate rate and forms strong, light green cushions in the midground. Its upright growth brings structure to the layout.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is a robust and adaptable rosette plant with rich green, slightly wavy leaves. It grows at a leisurely pace and thrives reliably even under low lighting and without CO2 supplementation. It forms dense stands and gives the midground a natural, calm appearance.
Anubias barteri var. nana is a very robust, slow-growing epiphyte. It thrives even under low lighting and manages without CO2 supplementation. It is best attached to roots or stones, where its dark leaves create beautiful contrasts.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a low-growing dwarf sword plant from Central and South America. It forms light green, lanceolate leaves and, through numerous runners, quickly grows together into a dense lawn-like carpet. The species is robust, easy to care for and ideal as a carpeting plant for the foreground.
Hydrocotyle leucocephala, the South American pennywort, has characteristic roundish leaves on long, delicate shoots. It grows very quickly, can thrive both underwater and above water and is suitable as a decorative accent in the background. Its fast growth supports the biological balance of the aquarium.
Hygrophila polysperma impresses with its rapid growth and undemanding nature. It forms numerous side shoots and can be trained into dense bushes by regular pruning. Under good lighting, it shows a fresh light green to slightly reddish coloration.
Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a well-balanced planted aquarium that delights with strong colors and a natural look.
