The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Colorful - Medium - No. 04 was designed especially for large aquariums to create a colorful yet balanced underwater layout. The set includes Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3"), Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Staurogyne repens, Eriocaulon sp. "Vietnam", Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini', Heteranthera zosterifolia, Hygrophila corymbosa and Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red". This selection combines robust, fast-growing and high-contrast species that form different heights and structures and give the aquarium a lively, natural-looking overall picture.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in the aquarium hobby. The selected plants need medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3× per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") is a popular carpeting plant from South America that forms flat, creeping shoots with roundish, dark green leaves. The plant grows compactly, is comparatively easy to care for and is ideal for forming dense carpets in the foreground.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly small variety with very compact growth and firm, dark green leaves. It grows slowly and should be tied onto roots or stones, as the rhizome must not be planted in the substrate. Thanks to its robustness and decorative appearance, it is ideal for hardscape details in the midground.
Staurogyne repens originates from Brazil and is a vigorous, light green foreground plant. It grows bushy, is easy to shape by trimming and is ideal for the transition between carpeting plants and the midground.
Eriocaulon sp. "Vietnam" is a grass-like rosette plant that forms medium-sized, overhanging leaves. It prefers a nutrient-rich substrate and medium lighting and, with its structure, brings dynamism and a natural feel to the midground.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' is a compact, richly colored variety of the parrot leaf that creates striking contrasts in the aquarium with its violet to brownish-red leaves. It grows slowly, stays low and can be shaped into dense, bushy groups through regular trimming. Under strong lighting and with a stable supply of CO2 and nutrients, it develops its most intense coloration and is ideally suited for the foreground to midground.
Heteranthera zosterifolia develops numerous side shoots and forms dense, light green bushes that grow quickly. With good lighting and an adequate nutrient supply, it shows vigorous growth and gives the aquarium a fresh, lively touch.
Hygrophila corymbosa is a large-leaved, fast-growing stem plant from Southeast Asia. It is undemanding, grows even in harder water and is ideal for creating volume and height in the background.
Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" impresses with intense red coloration and dense, bushy growth. Under strong light and with CO2 supplementation, its leaves glow particularly strongly and form a striking contrast to the green plants in the set. The result is a colorful, harmoniously structured aquascape with clear structures and lively contrasts
