The Aquarium Plant Set 250 Litres Green Medium No. 04 has been assembled for medium-sized to large nature aquariums and densely planted community tanks. The combination of upright-growing stem plants, finely structured foreground plants and striking epiphytic species allows for a varied and harmonious layout with natural depth. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Rotala indica, Pogostemon deccanensis ("erectus"), Nymphoides sp. 'Taiwan', Hygrophila pinnatifida, Eleocharis sp. 'Mini', Limnophila sessiliflora and Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green". The different growth forms and leaf structures create a vibrant overall appearance with natural contrasts.
This set is aimed at aquarists who already have some experience in fishkeeping and planted aquariums. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly compact variety of the popular dwarf Anubias and is ideal for the foreground as well as for decorating roots and stones. The small, dark green leaves grow slowly and gradually form dense cushions. Thanks to its slow growth, it is very easy to care for and perfectly suited to detailed aquascapes.
Rotala indica develops fine, densely arranged stems and adds lively colour accents to the aquarium with its light green to slightly reddish tips. It grows relatively quickly and is especially suitable for the midground to background. Regular trimming encourages a dense and bushy growth pattern.
Pogostemon deccanensis ("erectus") is characterised by its striking needle-like bright green leaves and upright growth habit. The plant creates a distinctive structure in the background and looks particularly decorative when planted in groups. Under good conditions, it develops strong, dense shoots with intense green colouring.
Nymphoides sp. 'Taiwan' features light green, slightly wavy leaves and forms attractive rosettes in the midground. The plant grows comparatively quickly and adds additional variety to the layout with its unusual leaf shape. Under favourable conditions, it develops strong submerged leaves with a lively texture.
Hygrophila pinnatifida combines unusually shaped, deeply lobed leaves with olive green to brownish tones. It can be cultivated both in the substrate and attached to hardscape, making it an excellent contrast plant. Its creeping to branching growth habit creates natural transitions between the foreground and midground.
Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' is a very low-growing grass-like plant ideal for creating dense carpet effects in the foreground. The fine blades gradually form a closed lawn and give the aquarium a natural appearance. Especially with CO2 supplementation, it grows compactly and evenly.
Limnophila sessiliflora is one of the fast-growing stem plants and is particularly well suited to the background. Its finely feathered leaves create a soft, airy structure and provide ideal hiding places for shrimp and small fish. Due to its rapid growth, it also supports the biological stabilisation of newly set up aquariums.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is a decorative epiphytic plant with rich green, slightly wavy leaves. It grows slowly and is ideal for attaching to roots or stones. Thanks to its robust nature and intense leaf colouration, it creates elegant accents in the aquarium.
