Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 30 Liters - Colorful - Medium - No. 08 was designed especially for richly colored layouts in smaller aquariums. The set includes Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3"), Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Pogostemon helferi, Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini', Hemianthus glomeratus and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red". The balanced combination of compact foreground plants, structured midground species and richly colored background plants creates a lively, high-contrast overall picture. The mix of green and red species results in a harmonious yet dynamic aquascape.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in the aquarium hobby. The selected plants need medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3x/week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") is a popular carpeting plant in aquascaping and forms dense, fresh green carpets in the foreground. The plant has a creeping growth habit and, under good lighting, creates a closed lawn effect that looks especially natural in smaller tanks.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a very small-leaved, robust epiphyte with slow growth. It copes with little light and does not need CO2, but benefits from a stable nutrient supply. The rhizome must not be buried in the substrate and is ideally attached to driftwood or stones.
Pogostemon helferi captivates with its characteristically wavy leaves and rosette-like growth. This richly textured plant sets special accents in the midground and adds variety to the layout with its unusual shape.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' provides intense color accents in the midground with its reddish to purple leaves. With sufficient lighting and CO2 supply, it stays compact and forms dense, high-contrast groups.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a fine, delicate stem plant that branches well and forms loose, natural background structures. With regular trimming, it can be shaped into a bush and adds lightness to the layout.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" impresses with its intense red coloration even at medium light intensity. It branches well, grows upright in the background and significantly enhances the color contrast in the aquarium.
