The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Algae Control - Green - Easy - No. 04 is ideal for creating a well-balanced planted aquarium with clear water and healthy plant growth. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Cardamine lyrata, Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Hemianthus glomeratus and Rotala rotundifolia. The combination creates a natural appearance with dense planting and effectively helps to suppress algae growth.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a robust dwarf sword plant whose light green, lanceolate leaves form a dense lawn-like carpet in the foreground. It spreads quickly via runners and grows reliably under medium lighting. A good nutrient supply and optional CO2 supplementation promote vigorous growth.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" captivates with its brownish, slightly wavy leaves that create a warm contrast in the midground. It is extremely easy to care for and thrives even in low lighting.
Cardamine lyrata is known as Japanese cress and is one of the most adaptable stem plants for cooler aquariums. It forms long, creeping shoots with round, light green leaves that grow like a carpet across the substrate or wind elegantly around roots and stones. In well-lit tanks with nutrient-rich substrate, it develops vigorous, bushy cushions and, thanks to its fast growth, effectively contributes to nutrient reduction and algae control.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing stem plant with delicate, light green, feathery leaves. It effectively removes nutrients from the water and thus helps prevent algae. Under good lighting, its shoot tips show a slightly reddish sheen, making it an exciting color accent.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' stands out with its striking white to pink leaf veins and adds color variety to the midground. It grows briskly, is very tolerant of different water parameters and needs only moderate lighting. Regular trimming promotes bushy growth and fresh shoots.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a fine-leaved stem plant from Florida whose small, light green leaves form bushes that are both dense and airy. Under strong lighting, it partly grows creeping and can be used in both the midground and the foreground. Its fast growth and intense oxygen production promote the biological balance and effectively help to prevent algae in the aquarium.
Rotala rotundifolia is a classic stem plant for aquascaping and impresses with its fine, reddish-green leaves that color intensely depending on the light intensity. Under strong light, it develops bright red shoot tips and grows into dense, harmonious groups. With its fast, even growth, it brings dynamism and depth of color to the background and creates a lively, balanced overall picture. The result is a harmoniously coordinated plant set that, through the combination of robust and fast-growing species, ensures a healthy balance, clear water conditions and a naturally beautiful overall picture in the 60-liter aquarium.
