The Aquarium Plant Set 60 Litre Green Medium No. 07 has been put together for planted nature aquariums and aquascapes with a balanced plant arrangement. The combination of compact foreground plants, structure-forming midground species and fast-growing background plants creates a lively overall appearance with various shades of green and leaf shapes. The set includes Pogostemon helferi, Micranthemum tweediei "Montecarlo-3", Hydrocotyle tripartita, Bacopa monnieri 'Compact', Anubias barteri var. nana, Limnophila sessiliflora and Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig'. Thanks to the mix of slow- and fast-growing plants, the set is suitable both for setting up a new aquarium and for visually enhancing existing aquariums.
This set is intended for aquarists who already have some experience. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Pogostemon helferi is a striking foreground plant with strongly curled leaves arranged in a star-like pattern. It forms compact rosettes and creates a distinctive structure in the aquarium. With good lighting and CO2 supplementation, it develops particularly dense growth.
Micranthemum tweediei "Montecarlo-3" is ideal as a carpeting plant in the foreground. With its small, rounded leaves, the plant forms dense carpets and creates a natural appearance. Under good conditions, it grows creeping and quickly covers open areas.
Hydrocotyle tripartita has small, clover-like leaves and very lively growth. The plant can grow both creeping and upright and is ideal for creative aquascapes. Its fast growth adds fresh green accents to the aquarium.
Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' is a compact-growing stem plant with strong green leaves. It remains significantly lower than the classic Bacopa monnieri and is well suited to midground areas. This robust plant grows evenly and can easily be shaped by trimming.
Anubias barteri var. nana is one of the most popular aquarium plants for shadier areas. This slow-growing plant has thick, dark green leaves and is preferably attached to roots or stones. It is particularly easy to care for and very long-lasting.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing background plant with finely feathered, light green leaves. It creates loose structures and brings plenty of dynamism to the aquarium. Thanks to its fast growth, it also supports biological stabilisation during the start-up phase.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' stands out with its pale leaf veins and pink shoot tips. The plant grows quickly and is ideal for the background area. Under stronger lighting, it develops particularly intense colours and bushy growth. The result is a harmoniously planted 60-litre aquarium with varied forms, different growth heights and natural shades of green.
