Description
'Red Devil' is a relatively small, narrow-leaved Echinodorus cultivar bred by Tomas Kaliebe. Under water it develops red leaves with slightly undulating margins and grows to a height of around 20 cm.
Echinodorus 'Red Devil' is usually supplied in its emersed (terrestrial) form, in which it has rather green, sturdier leaves with longer leaf stalks. Once planted in the aquarium, it begins to produce its colourful submerged foliage.
Like virtually all Echinodorus, 'Red Devil' grows best in a nutrient-rich substrate. At least moderate lighting is recommended, while stronger light enhances the red colouration. The ideal temperature range is between 22 and 28 °C.
Echinodorus 'Red Devil' is distinguished by its narrow leaves and relatively compact size. It is also well suited to smaller aquaria and is most effective as a single specimen or in a small, loose group in the midground, or in the foreground of larger aquaria.
Echinodorus 'Red Devil' is a cultivar bred by Tomas Kaliebe of Altlandsberg, crossed from Echinodorus uruguayensis and 'Red Flame'.12 At around 20 cm in height it remains small; submersed it forms narrow, lanceolate leaves with slightly undulate margins, coloured greenish red to red – red especially in new growth.12 Most plants on sale are in the emersed form, with greenish, tougher leaves on longer stalks; it only produces its colourful submersed leaves once planted in the aquarium.1
It is considered suitable for beginners; a nutrient-rich substrate and additional fertilisation promote it, and medium to strong light is recommended, which intensifies the red colouration. (read more)

Die Pflanze ist noch relativ klein, sieht aber sehr schön und gesund aus! Lieferung mega schnell und erstklassig verpackt! Freue mich schon darauf, diese im Becken zu sehen. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Ich habe ein gut befüllten Topf erhalten und konnte nun sogar zwei Red Devil einpflanzen :) Ich bin schon sehr gespannt, wie sich die Pflanze entwickelt.
