Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Green - Medium - No. 07 offers a balanced selection of aquatic plants that allow for a harmonious layout from the foreground to the background. The set includes Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3"), Hydrocotyle tripartita, Microsorum pteropus 'Trident', Pogostemon helferi, Limnophila sessiliflora, Bolbitis heudelotii and Pogostemon deccanensis. The combination creates a varied overall picture with carpeting plants, ferns and stem plants that complement each other to form a lively, natural appearance.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in the aquarium hobby. The selected plants need medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3× per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") is a popular carpeting plant from South America that forms dense, rich green carpets. The plant creeps flat across the substrate and attaches itself lightly, creating an even lawn effect. It grows reliably even under moderate lighting and is ideal for foreground areas.
Hydrocotyle tripartita impresses with its clover-like, fresh light green leaves and creeping growth. It spreads quickly and brings dynamism to the layout. Under strong lighting and with good care, it forms dense mats that are perfect for the foreground.
Microsorum pteropus 'Trident' is a narrow-leaved variety of the well-known Java fern with finely lobed, decorative fronds. The plant grows best when attached to stones or roots and does not need any special substrate. Its delicate appearance provides structure and lightness in the midground.
Pogostemon helferi stands out with its crinkled, light green leaves and compact growth. The species forms small rosettes and is ideally suited for the foreground to midground. It prefers good lighting and benefits significantly from a CO2 supply.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing stem plant with fine, fern-like leaves. It grows vigorously even under medium light and helps stabilize the biological balance in the aquarium. With its light green color, it sets soft contrasts to darker plant species.
Bolbitis heudelotii, the African water fern, captivates with its translucent green, pinnate leaves. It grows slowly, prefers soft water and is often attached to roots or stones. Its calm, elegant appearance brings depth and a natural feel to the background.
Pogostemon deccanensis has upright, densely leaved stems with needle-like, light green leaves. The species looks particularly harmonious in groups and forms a bright accent in the background. Good lighting and regular fertilization promote its compact growth. The result is a harmonious, varied plant layout that creates lively structures and natural color gradients in the aquarium.
