The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Colorful - Medium - No. 01 is designed for a 250-liter aquarium and offers colorful, balanced planting with different growth forms. The set includes Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini', Hygrophila pinnatifida, Ludwigia palustris "Super Red", Eleocharis sp. 'Mini', Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma, Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') and Bucephalandra sp. "Theia". The combination of foreground, midground and background plants creates a harmonious sense of depth with lively color contrasts.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in the aquarium hobby. The selected plants need medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3x/week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' is a compact-growing stem plant with intensely red leaves that look their best under good lighting. It grows slowly and stays significantly lower than the classic Alternanthera reineckii. Thanks to its dense growth form, it is very well suited for the midground of larger aquariums.
Hygrophila pinnatifida has strikingly lobed leaves with an olive green upper side and a reddish underside. It can either root in the substrate or be tied onto roots or stones. Regular trimming promotes bushy, branched growth.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is characterized by its strong red coloration, which is particularly pronounced under intense lighting. The plant grows upright and forms dense groups of stems. It is ideal as a color accent in the background.
Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' is a very low-growing dwarf hairgrass that forms fine, grass-like blades. It spreads via runners and develops into a dense ground cover over time. Due to its low height, it is ideally suited for the foreground.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing, undemanding stem plant with finely pinnate, light green leaves. It effectively helps reduce nutrients and supports the stabilization of the aquarium during the start-up phase. It is easy to shape with regular trimming.
Hygrophila polysperma is a robust and very adaptable aquarium plant that grows reliably under many conditions. It forms long shoots with oval, light green leaves. Due to its fast growth, it is well suited for the background and for nutrient uptake.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is an extremely small epiphyte with very slow growth. It is preferably attached to stones or roots and also copes well with little light. Thanks to its compact form, it is ideal for detailed designs in the foreground or midground.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia" is a decorative epiphyte with narrow, slightly wavy leaves. It grows slowly and prefers shaded to semi-shaded areas in the aquarium. Its subtle coloring makes it a calm, elegant design element.
