Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Colorful - Medium - No. 07 is ideal for setting up a colorful, varied aquarium with a harmonious sense of depth. The set includes Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Hygrophila pinnatifida, Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini', Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Heteranthera zosterifolia and Rotala rotundifolia 'Orange Juice'. The combination of carpeting plants, compact foreground plants and richly colored stem plants provides structure, contrast and lively accents. Thanks to the different growth rates, a densely planted, natural-looking layout develops quickly.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in the aquarium hobby. The selected plants need medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3x/week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters. The fast-growing species Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Heteranthera zosterifolia and Rotala rotundifolia 'Orange Juice' help build up the biological balance.
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis forms a dense, lawn-like carpet in the foreground when given sufficient lighting. It originates from South America and, under good conditions, develops short runners that create a closed surface.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a very small-leaved, robust epiphyte with slow growth. It copes with little light and does not need CO2, but benefits from a stable nutrient supply. The rhizome must not be buried in the substrate and is ideally attached to driftwood or stones.
Hygrophila pinnatifida develops distinctively lobed leaves with an olive green to reddish-brown upper side and a light underside. It can be either planted or tied onto hardscape and sets strong structural accents in the midground.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' is a compact, richly colored dwarf variety with reddish leaves that shows particularly strong colors under good lighting. It is ideally suited for the midground and brings warm tones to the layout.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is a very fast-growing stem plant with striking pink leaf veins. It is undemanding, supports nutrient reduction during the start-up phase and provides lively background structure.
Heteranthera zosterifolia forms many side shoots and grows into bushy, light green groups. Thanks to its fast growth, it helps stabilize the aquarium and creates a loose background effect.
Rotala rotundifolia 'Orange Juice' impresses with orange shoot tips under good lighting and with regular care. It grows quickly, is easy to shape and sets bright color accents in the background. The result is a balanced, colorful plant set with a clear structure from the foreground to the background.
