The Aquarium Plant Set 120 Litres Green Medium No. 08 has been assembled for medium-sized nature aquariums and harmonious aquascapes with varied leaf structures. The combination of fine-leaved stem plants, robust epiphyte plants and compact foreground species creates a natural overall appearance with different shades of green and growth forms. The set includes Rotala indica, Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3"), Microsorum pteropus, Anubias barteri var. nana, Limnophila sessiliflora, Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' and Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green". The selected plants complement each other both visually and functionally, allowing for a varied layout with a convincing sense of depth.
This set is intended for people who already have experience in aquatics. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters.
Rotala indica is a delicate stem plant with narrow leaves and dense growth. Under good lighting it develops attractive green to slightly reddish colours and is ideally suited for the midground to background. Regular trimming encourages compact and bushy growth.
Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") forms a dense carpet of small rounded leaves and is ideal for the foreground. The plant grows in a creeping manner and develops compact cushions under sufficient lighting. CO2 supplementation supports flat and even growth.
Microsorum pteropus is one of the most popular epiphyte plants for aquariums. The robust Java fern grows slowly and can easily be attached to wood or stones. The plant is easy to care for and also performs well under weaker lighting.
Anubias barteri var. nana is a compact and extremely robust epiphyte plant with dark green leaves. It is ideal for decorating hardscape elements and remains permanently compact in size. Due to its slow growth, it requires very little maintenance.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing stem plant with finely feathered light green leaves. It is especially useful during the cycling phase by consuming nutrients and supporting the biological balance within the aquarium. Regular trimming results in a dense plant bush in the background.
Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' is a compact foreground plant with small rounded leaves and vigorous growth. It grows significantly lower than the classic Lobelia cardinalis and is perfectly suited for structured plant groups in the midground. Under good conditions it develops dense and decorative cushions.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is a decorative epiphyte plant with attractive green leaves and slow growth. It can be attached to stones or wood and is particularly suitable for detailed aquascapes. The plant prefers stable water conditions and gradually develops a very natural appearance over time.
