The Aquarium Plant Set 120 Litres Colourful Medium No. 10 has been specially assembled for colourful nature aquariums and harmonious aquascapes. The combination of fine-leaved stem plants, compact foreground plants and decorative epiphytes creates varied structures and intense colour contrasts in the aquarium. The set includes Rotala indica, Microsorum pteropus 'Narrow', Eleocharis sp. 'Mini', Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Limnophila sessiliflora, Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' and Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red". This combination is ideal for natural-looking layouts with dense planting and a vibrant appearance.
This set is aimed at aquarists who already have experience in planted aquariums. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2-3x per week. The plants benefit from a regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters.
Rotala indica develops fine, densely branched stems and adds vivid colour accents to the aquarium with its orange to reddish shoot tips. Under good lighting conditions, it grows compactly and is ideal for the midground to background. Regular trimming encourages bushy growth and dense plant groups.
Microsorum pteropus 'Narrow' is a narrow-leaved variety of Java fern with elegantly curved leaves. This robust epiphyte grows slowly and can easily be attached to wood or stones. It has only low demands and is perfectly suited for natural aquascapes.
Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' forms a dense, grass-like carpet in the foreground of the aquarium. Its delicate blades create a particularly natural appearance and give the layout a calm and harmonious structure. With sufficient light and CO2, the plant spreads evenly and compactly.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" impresses with its wavy brown to olive-coloured leaves and creates natural contrasts in the midground. The plant is robust, adaptable and perfectly suited for long-lasting stable plantings. After acclimatisation, it develops dense rosettes with decorative growth.
Limnophila sessiliflora is one of the fast-growing stem plants and supports the biological stabilisation of newly set up aquariums. Its finely feathered light green shoots create loose and natural structures in the background. Regular trimming keeps the plant compact and bushy.
Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' is a compact variety of the popular cardinal flower with small rounded leaves and low growth. It is perfectly suited for the foreground or transitions into the midground. Under good lighting, it develops dense and vibrant green cushions.
Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" is one of the intensely coloured Rotala varieties and develops strong red shoot tips under optimal conditions. Its delicate stems create elegant movement and striking colour effects in the background. With sufficient light and CO2, it grows densely branched and particularly colourful. The result is a varied planted 120-litre aquarium with strong colours, different leaf shapes and a natural sense of depth.
